If this is introduced, then there'd be little reason to not introduce the starship
1975 intro date, nvm

ever since i saw a sheridan parachute out of a c-130 i wanted one.

i'm not sure if it would make a good light tank tho, i was thinking more of a american tank destroyer. we need a premium american td. i think with the 152 it could possibly work as a tier 8 premium td. id love one. id buy it in a heart beat

I do hope that this is put in, they'll probably have the 90 as a stock gun, and the 105 cannon, with the 152mm as an optional howitzer cannon. It may be a little sluggish for a light tank but...  DO IT WG. DO IT.

I was actually wondering about this earlier when I saw a picture of one. I like your idea.

Here are some possible tier 10 light tanks for each nation (except Germany, I don't know of any good tier 10 LT candidates):
Object 685 (USSR)
XM551 (US)
AMX 13 105 (France)
Vickers No. 45569 T (UK)
WZ-211 (China)
Edit: The RU251 would  work at tier 10 if it could mount the Rh-105-11 as a top gun, kind of like the M48A1's choices of weaponry.

I disagree.  The Vickers 24-ton would make a great Tier 8 light tank (or even 9) and end the Brit Light Tank line there (and have it merge with a second Medium line at the Vickers MBT).  Maybe you should start a thread somewhere showing all ideas of how to get to those Tier 10 LTs?

Only 105mm that was put on a Sheridan chassis was by mounting a Stingray LT turret (and the Stingray was built in the 80s).

My idea primarily assumes no shillelagh missiles, just HE and HEAT as available ammotypes.

I don't think it would be too hard to code a premium round such as the missile. Graphically it wouldn't have to actually exist in the game, but just treat it like a HESH or similar round. To off set the high damage though the cost would have to be near on prohibitive. That way you wouldn't have people running around with just a full load of them.

I used to drive the Sheridan in the 82nd in the late 90‘s. It would be the KING of DERP! You are way off on the tier 8 thing. Armor on the Sheridan is made of aluminum. It is basically nonexistent. It is basically a VK 30.01 H with the DERP gun. It would be about a tier 6. I would love to drive the Sheridan again. Please make this happen.

There are other Tier 7s and higher that basically have no armor.  It's too new for Tier 6, it would be too fast and too Derpy.  Tier 8 or 9 would be better.

I loved commanding the M551s.  One thought to help balance the light tank with DERP.  Give it a frontal fire arc like the M3 to represent you don't want to shoot the big gun over the sides.  That would help with some of the drive by shootings and introduce a weakness in a knife fight.

I think a slow rotating turret like on the M18 Hellcat would be a better balancing mechanism.

It'll be a tier 10 light tank.
