hey guys, so I downloaded the beta yesterday and would be having a lot of fun, except the game keeps on freezing. my screen will freeze, but the sound will keep on going, then my screen will turn black and then come back on and the game is still running. this happens at least twice a game. also every time it does this a message comes up saying that the drivers for my video card stopped responding but have now reconnected. i tried updating my drivers for my graphics card but that didnt help. what is the problem?

What is your graphics card model? If you don't know do the following:

XP: go to start -> run and type DXDIAG into the box and press enter. In the window that pops up press the button to save all information, save it to a txt file on the desktop, open the file with note pad and copy past the first few sections (including system and display) of information here in a reply.

Vista/Win 7: press start, type DXDIAG into the search field and run dxdiag.exe. In the window that pops up press the button to save all information, save it to a txt file on the desktop, open the file with notepad and copy past the first few sections (including system and display) of information here in a reply.

Usually if the display drivers repeatedly crash and recover like this, there's either something wrong with the drivers (buggy version, badly installed, etc) or there's some sort of compatibility problem between the game and your graphics card (for example the game requires more than your graphics card is capable of handling, which happens a lot with integrated graphics, but can also happen with low end older cards from ati and nvidia).

My game also freezes.  Frequently.  It freezes after the game starts during play.  Sometimes I can CTL-ALT-DEL and close it.  Other times I have to restart my computer.  Its about 50-50.

How old is this computer and has it been clean out in the last 2 years your video card might be getting hot, mine use to do that to just before it burn out and i had to get a new card. You may try to update the video card drivers and see it that works.
Make sure you set your setting on low. Min spec is for this game 6600GT or above and your card is 6800 and it should work here is the link:

I installed my new Radeon HD6870 today and now i get game freezes/driver resets regularly (as in every 20-30s). Game was running fine on the Gforce 8800gts before.
Performance should be more than enough, i get >50fps all the time. As the card is brand new overheating issues would be odd too.

Tried lowering details, but even on medium settings i get the freezes. I'm not completely sure, but it seems to happen most often when I or a tank close to me fire a shot.
I'm using Windows 7 64bit and Catalyst 11.3, any problems known with that driver version?

Edit: after some hours of testing i can narrow down the problem:
It ONLY occurs while zoomed in to Sniper mode. However it does not seem to be related to the old ati sniper mode fps drop. I tested some of the proposed solutions for that problem and nothing helped, i'm not seeing any fps drop when zooming anywa.
It happens often when somebody fires, but not always, and sometimes it happens without shooting at all.

Problem seems to disappear when i set Post-processing, AA, Water Simulation and Flora Densitity to off/minimal settings. This works for now, but leaves the game with much worse graphics, so i'd still appreciate som help on this.
