Hi im building a computer and I was wondering what a good graphics card would be. I would like to play the game at medium settings but I could settle for low graphics. I need at least 40 FPS. No settling or negiotian I want that much. I was looking at the GTX 650 on Amazon and its about $100 but I dont want to really pay that much ($110ish). I was looking at the GTS 250 1GB model? I would probably buy it used on ebay and would like to spend under $60. Thank you.

What resolution are you wanting 40+FPS?
The GTX 650 is a solid card that can run this game at medium @ 1080p without problems.

The GTS 250 is an old card that you probably dont want to get if you want to play modern games. You can pick up a radeon 6770 for 120$ or a used radeon 6850 for 100$. If you dont want to spend a 100$, you can always look for a radeon 5770 or a gtx 550 used on ebay/craigslist. Just remember to check your power supply ratings and motherboard interface to make sure it is compatible with your video card.

Honestly, I think you should go with the GTX 650 for two reasons. First, don't get an ATI card, Nvidia is always better. Second, I use a GTX 560 with a core i5 processor and I can run everything on maximum while consistently getting 60+ fps.

As someone who has a GTS 250 as a backup video card, it'll blow for tanks at any real resolution.  That is, anything 1680 x 1020 or higher.

If you're on a 1280 x 1024 CRT then it'll do you just fine.

However, here's a good selection of video cards, some are above the $100-110 price point but if you do the rebate thing, you'll get some of that cash back.

First up:
http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814133471 $104.99 with a $20 mail in rebate, gets you a rock solid video card for tanks and decent resolutions and settings with rebate it's 84.99, not bad at all for that card

Here's a list of 4 GTX 650s under $100, actually some with mail in rebates that'll make then even cheaper:

http://www.newegg.co... GTX 600 series

List of AMD counterparts:

http://www.newegg.co... HD 7000 series

You'll wan to go no lower than the 7750 cards, 7770 if you can afford it.  Anything less is kinda suckage.

Hope that'll help you!

You say it's 100$ and then you say you don't want to pay that much but you are willing to pay 110$ish?  And the 650 is a great graphic card I would recommend it....

Any tragics card for $150+ on newegg will run this game on maximum settings at fluid framerates. This game isn't that hard on the graphics.
$100 cards on newegg are also decent. They'll run this game on maximum settings with some mild slowdown.

GEFORCE GT 620  NVidia

1GB memory   PCI express

Clicked auto select or auto detect in WoT graphics settings and the settings went from low to medium and improved.  There are tank tracks, the explosions look great, the water and trees look great, and best of all there's not any lag when peering through foliage.

I got mine for less than $50 on eBay

I have 2 desktops at home.

#1 AMD Phenom II 6-core, 8gb, Radeon 7850.  LCD @ 1920 x 1080.  Game at "max" settings, I get 35-40 fps

#2 Dell 8200 dual Xeon CPU, 7gb, NVidia 250 GTS.  LCD @ 1280 x 960.  Game at "med" settings, I get 25-30 fps.

I also have 2 NVidia 9500 GT with SLI that I want to try.

I don't think the game supports SLI

I have two GTX 560Ti video cards, though I could have missed them implementing support for it.

lol what? first it is not ATI anymore it is AMD. and second AMD, and Nvidia cards have been about dead even with AMD pulling ahead on certian cards. the only difference right now is the framerating problem with AMD cards when in crossfire. which is supposed to be fixed in the next driver revision. that and reference AMD cards tend to suffer from coil whine.

I would recommend against the earlier mentioned GTX 620. Nvidia cards have a generation (6xx in this case) and a model number (x20 in this case). The 620 is the base model of the 6th generation. You've be better off with a 550 if you can get it, it's an older generation but a more mid-end card in it which will outperform 620 any day of the week.

Passmark is a great reference - http://www.videocard...et/gpu_list.php

Prices change daily, so it's hard to recommended a particular card without knowing EXACTLY when you plan to buy, but a little research on Passmark will give you an idea of which cards to avoid. I could likely find something better than a GTS 250 for under $20. That's one to avoid. My GTX 465 is three times the card and was less than twice the price last year; you can get a card about equal to mine for under $75 if you find the right sales,  though that's time-dependent.

I run MSI N660NF III OC x 2 in SLI and I'm getting 160fps on ultra settings at 1080p I don't think it cares about the games I'm running.
