No-one seems to have noticed this new section yet, there never was a section on the forums for old tanks that aren't in the game.
Now there is! So I'll try to start it off.

On 23 June 1942 the German Ministry of Armaments proposed a 1,000 tonne tank – the Landkreuzer P. 1000 Ratte. Adolf Hitler himself expressed interest in the project and go-ahead was granted. In December the same year, Krupp designed an even larger 1,500 tonne tank – the P 1500 Monster.

In 1943, Albert Speer, the Minister for Armaments, cancelled both projects.

The Landkreuzer P. 1500 Monster was to be 42 m (138 ft) long, weighing 1500 tonnes, with a 250 mm hull front armor, 4 MAN U-boat (submarine) diesel engines, and an operating crew of over 100 men.

Oh boy, if that was in-game...just imagine seeing it at a distance.

People ignore it due to its laughably slow traverse rate, plink the other tanks on the team, then huddle around the Ratte's rear end?

Well I say, even if it had been build, it would not had a long war history  :Smile-playing:

Found some interesting links about it, so try and check them out.

Any tank could drive below it and just shoot up at the weak belly armour, even loltraktors would have a juicy target if these make it into the game.

but its so big that at the start of the game, it will just drive into the cap cricle, if it dies in it, no one can cap anymore lol.

With a gun that big, you could just load it with HE and randomly fire into the other base at game start and get 2 or 3 kills with the splash damage.  :Smile-izmena:

Wow, a gun like that would probably have something like 0.01 reload time. Plenty of time to think...  :Smile_harp:

Here is something I found on a website.

"The Landkreuzer P. 1500 Monster was a preprototype ultraheavy tank meant as a mobile platform for the Krupp 800mm Schwerer Gustav artillery piece, in fact, a mobile grand cannon.

If completed it would have easily surpassed the Panzer VIII Maus, and even the extremely large Landkreuzer P. 1000 Ratte in size, though it would only have enough power to reach up to speeds of 10-15 kph.

It would have been 42 m (138 ft) long, would have weighed 2500 tonnes, with a 250 mm hull front armor, 4 MAN U-boat (submarine) diesel engines, and an operating crew of over 100 men.

It would have been so heavy that it would have cracked pavement behind it and it would not have been able to cross bridges.

The main armament would have been an 800 mm Dora/Schwerer Gustav K (E) railway gun 10 times bigger in diameter than modern tank cannons, and a secondary armament of two 150 mm sFH 18/1 L/30 howitzers and multiple 15 mm MG 151/15 machine guns.

It's a good thing World War II ended when it did, because if it had lasted for another two or three years, no army in the world could have withstood the immense firepower of these giant tanks."

Who wouldnt want it driving around the battle-field??  :)
Hey, I would drive it if i could  :Smile-izmena:

This heavy landcruiser would have never gone beyond a blueprint.
Reasons are the same as for the H39 and H44 battleships of the Z-Plan:
Enormous resource and oil consumption.
Even the Maus was already uneconomic stuff.

If you search about this, there are 100 other topics. It would be great as a PvE element in-game though.

Suggested again and again, and I HIGHLY doubt it will ever be in the game, unless it's some giant PvE battle.

Meh, Monster shoots to one sector, everything in that area + 3 grids away from it is pretty much dead in one shot.
After that it can just become a massive battering ram, rolling over enemy tanks with just the sheer weight.
