Horrible  map... you might as well just line 15 vs 15 like old british rifle lines and see who's got the fastest reload...... minimal strategy and  tactics and cover...........haven't had a game go  past 5 min before  its  clearly decided......... ridiculous addition imho............ wot= 9.5/10   Severogorsk map = 2/10

get rid of it

It's OK, not bad as Mines for high tier tanks, now that's something I don't like.

Why hate it? It might be hard in the particular tank you play, but I found the hardest type to play on it is TD's. Mediums can duke it out on a hill, as can heavies, lights can have a holiday, and arty has lots of hiding places.  So, overall, I LOVE this map. It is very anticamp-like (I just made it a word peeps!) and is great for everyone.

Could not agree more. Mines needs to be tier restricted like they did with wide park.

How do I say this a genitally as possible?

I think the problem with Severogorsk has more to do with you're WR then with the map.  The map is fine.  If you can't find cover then that's not my problem.

Oh and I'm tired of people referring to bushes, trees, etc as "cover" or worse "hard cover".  Um, no.  "cover" is something blocks shots.  "Concealment" is what conceals, or hides, you WITHOUT blocking shots.  Cover and concealment.

My issue is its made for close combat, the map is geograpically very small, like Ruinberg, but without a city like Ruinberg the games are super quick, cover is minimal, strategic points are few, etc so its very quick face to face shoot-out like I said ... boring....

If it were much more spread out with more hills, valleys, etc it'd play longer battles with more strategy and variety...

Or if the mid city area had larger buildings to hide within, behind, it'd create a lot more intensity...

But as is, all that happens is its a shoot the ducks contest on 2 outside lines 90% of the time... whichever faulters the most on the initial 2 min rush loses

I'm not hard to please, even the maps I'm not fond of have their nuances that appeal to me... this does not....it's an uninspired lesser quality winter replica of Province..

It wouldn't be so bad if WOT didn't force the same 6 maps down your throat for 2 hours to ofset their server loads... if every map was in play I could deal with seeing it occasionally

I've only had it once so far... was fun the first time because no one knew what to do.  I liked sitting in the warehouse area near the underpasses.  It gave me decent LoS with some hard cover... no arty that game so didn't have to worry about that.

This is by far the most retarded map they have ever put in this game. Whenever I get it I just drive in through middle to get some spotting, possibly, then die and get the fuck out of it. It's a piece of shit. Whoever designed it needs to be executed. Santa, please grant me that wish!

When did they restrict Widepark? I've played tier 8 on it before but I've only seen the map 1 time in the past month and that was on a tier 4 game.

I've got a workable plan for when the gulag this map comes up so I don't mind it at all; it's still not Fjords (in particular) or Redshire.

I love this map, especially when I got a tank that can lay the pipe from across the ridge lines. Great spots for hull down gamplay... what is not to like?

I like it.  Ya just gotta learn the good spots depending on your type of tank and how you play.  I'm still learnin!

The map is unbalanced because of the difference in arty placement between the spawns.  South spawn the arty is next to the main force and protected from initial scouting kills, but for the northern spawn arty spawns on the cap circle and is isolated with the exception of a sole TD most of the time.  This difference allows southern scouts to stroll up and simply kill or spot arty in the first 20 seconds of the match and gain a serious advantage under the first minute.

I haven't decided on this map yet.
I'm not fond of the suicide choke points on either hill. However, I feel like the city is under utilized by most pubs. I go there almost exclusively in my meds and usually have a fun time.
Also I think the deep trench cutting right up the middle is a cool idea, 7/10 times the people who go there just fail rush and get slaughtered lol, but I have seen it used to great effect mid to late game by myself and others.
Reserving the right to call this map a fail, but at this point I think it is a halfway decent map.
