Indeed.  Among the lesser known and odd-end tanks of the more modern era, it's one of my favorites in appearance.

Vickers Amphibious Tank? The turret seems a bit far forward.

hmm, looks like LT vz 35 converted into a mortar, looks 85? maybe 105 mm?

no idea what the designation it would have would be.

I'll give a hint.  It's a Czech design that was built for a foreign country.   The country that used it was neutral during the war.

hmm, it is a Swedish Stormartillerivagn Sav m/43? they look similar.

the 43 appears to be mounting a bigger gun though.

yep, thats the one. In the picture I posted, the gun looks smaller due to the angle of the photo.  At least, that's my theory.

hmm, wiki says it mounted a 75mm that was later upgraded to a 105.

I saw that wiki entry.  It seems to be sourced from a website dedicated to Swedish armor.  The picture I posted came from the book "Czechoslovak Armoured Fighting Vehicles" by Charles Kliment and Hillary Doyle.  The do not mention the 75mm gun at all in the section of the book regarding the 43.  They do however mention that later it was re-designated as SAV 101 and equiped with a different 105 gun.  That gun had a different appearance from the 43 as its recoil mechanism was below the barrel, rather than above it as in the 43.  Picture below.

Dominatus still had something a bit back, and that M60/M1 hybrid is bothering me.

Yeah, what was that M60/M1 thing?  I still say it's a vismod.

I thought it was just that modernised M60, but apparently not

I seem to remember a Turkish "modernization" that took old M60(?) hulls and slapped M1 turrets on them with a couple of internal modifications. Maybe the addition of the M60 Cupola was one of them?

There was the Sabra, but that didn't have anything with relation to the M1 to my knowledge.  M60-2000 was a single vehicle, and that is not what we see in the picture, as close as it is visually compared to anything else I've come across.

Sabra did not use an M1 turret, it still had the M60 turret but with a considerable amount of armor added to it.
