It' a variation on the theme here. We couldn't really do an Inside the Hatch on this tank, but we didn't want to just walk past it.

Glad to see this, I've wanted to see the Maus in person more than any other tank, but, well, it's a bit of a trip from the States to say the least.

you must have been sitting on that footage for ages. That's a good way of dismounting vehicles, I've got in the habit of using it as well (a bolt on the front plate of jagdchieftain was rather unpleasant to come across though)

based on some quick calculations,  the 128mm recoil force would have been around 1,747,318.95 pounds of force.  Assuming the recoil mechanism can take out 80% of that, that is still 349,464 pounds of force on a 400,000 pound tank.  So yes, the tank would feel it.
.
The MAUS would probably move about 1/2 inch backwards-and-down after a shot (on the suspension).*
.
.
.
*totally without consideration to extra recoil dampening, suspension tension, turret slack, ground conditions, etc.

With all the independent millionaires in the world why wont someone have this thing rebuilt?   They could do it on that tank overhaul show that rebuilt the ferdi.

I'm pretty sure the JagdChieftain is just a testbed, but is there a chance of seeing it in-game?

I can't believe that the museum actually let them film this. From what I heard, they don't let many foreigners into the museum let alone allow them to film videos there.

I could imagine working inside the Maus would be very uncomfortable after watching the video if the maus were in good shape but you know germans they don't want their tanks being captured as they blow up parts that work on them.

At least its a bit funny about Chieftain saying how he get down from The Maus lol

Awesome.

Was that the 540mm or 600mm mortar in the background?

Consider if you will that Kubinka actually sells Wargaming merchandise and that the number of visitors has greatly increased since WoT came out. Now realize what company The_Chieftain works for and you'll have your answer.

Damn. I really wanted to see that in-game. Although I'm sure Wargaming would manage to give it some official-sounding and uncool name if it was implemented.
