I will update asap but need to have all guns and turrets researched before I can do that (and as I can no longer afford premium that could take a while). Doing both skinning and modding seriosuly drains all the game resources and makes my game progress very slow and reliant on gold I can't afford :/

If you want to try yourself it's not realy that hard to do this mod though (and you can combine bits from different tanks as well).

Basically what you do is use a tool that lets you see what files the game loads and then loads the combinations you want to change and note down the turret/gun combo files. Then you load the combos you want them to look like and note down the files (each part consist of 3 files), then you simply replace the first set of files by coping the second set to their name. (if you experiment make sure to make backup of the lod0 dir so you can go back). This way you caqn mount turrent and guns from other tanks on your chassis, although it might not always look that good.
One note though, since this visual mod affect all tanks of the same type it makes it harder for you to judge how upgraded an enemy is so always assume he's maxed out.

Well thanks for the manual.....but for me sounds pretty complicated.....i was even really scared when i installed the old panther mod...i didnt wanted to delete something or so.... :-)

So i better wait for it.....from someone who knows what he is doing :-)

Is there a mod for the tiger so that he keeps the short 8,8 instead of the long one?

The only one I made replaces the basic turret with the correct (updated) one and uses the guns that goes with it. replacing the long gun with short version should be a fairly easy fix though.
The Long 88 is the gun_06 files and the short one Gun_05 (for upgrade turret), so just copy the latter set over the first ones (in the normal/lod0 subdir of the tank).

Well i tried it now but it dont work...i dont even know which files i must use for it. I copied the gun_05 files from lod1 to lod0 and nothing happens.

As i said for the panther mod.....its a bit too complicated for me :-)

ah! Worked now! I was a bit stupid....used the wrong files.....i renamed the files from the short 8,8 from 05 to 06 and copied them into the same folder.... :-)

It's sitting 90% done here, unfortunately due to healt issues I haven't been able to finish it (Takes AGES grinding without premium).
I thought I could grind all but the last gun and then guess the L100 layout, but was wrong because although there are only 6 gun/turret combos there are 10 sets of files :/
As soon as I know which of the 5 remaining sets is the upgrade turret L100 I can finish and release it.

Turret_02 is upgraded turret and Gun_10 is 75/L100. It looks best with 88 from Tiger and standard turret. 88 from Panther has different mounting and as a result we have huge gap between gun and turret.

Steiner's Turret/Gun Mods.

Pz.Kpfw V, Panther (v2 for WoT 6.6+)

Make sure to back-up your original files before replacing with the ones in this archive.

Default path for the Panzer V is:
C:\Games\World_of_Tanks_closed_Beta\res\vehicles\german\G03_PzV_Panther\

Replace the files in the normal\lod0\ folder with the ones from this archive.

Changed files:
Turret_02 -> Turret_01
Gun_05 -> Gun_08
Gun_04 -> Gun_03
Gun_06 -> Gun_03
Gun_10 -> Gun_04

Will look into using Tiger I gun for L100 later.

This is a variant of my Tiger I turret mod using the L56 88mm gun instead of the L70.

Do you know which gun on the Tiger II is the 88mm?  The 105's look....odd and I'd prefer to get the historical look back.
