Nope, I was taking Högskoleprovet (Swedish equivalent of a SAT test, sorta). I've been busy several saturdays in a row now, and it's not gonna get better because it's about time to get the sailboat ready for this summer and that means more things to do on weekends.

AB Hägglund & Söner is a total pain. Why would you do what is pretty much concept art of tanks scale 1:10? Observe, and note my glasses for scale:

(click for huge)

(I found the ikv 91 proposals. The Bofors ones are much easier to photo. Upload when I'm done here and have eaten.)

Spoiler

It is interesting that it started out as a rear turreted design, it looks completely different from the scale model from ~1968

That's just one of the proposals. Hägglunds alone has like six different proposals, Bofors has three and Landsverk five. There's conventional turret designs, rear turret ones, baby S-tanks, E-25 lookalikes, and that Landsverk thing we've seen a model of that they claimed was a pbv 302.

well that sounds really interesting. Maybe we kan create a Ikv line?

oh and i forgot to post this from a while back

There is a quite interesting document where the armament for the future Ikv is discussed.
it is stated that the vehicle should be based of the Pbv 302 and be equipped with either a 20mm or 40mm autocannon and Swingfire missiles.
Other armament options include a recoilles rifle (with or without a autoloader) or a tank gun capable of shooting HEAT and subcaliber projectiles.
The main option seems to be a 9cm low pressure gun with a 20mm autocannon as secondary armament. there are also discussions regarding a 12cm gun with a muzzle velocity of either 800m/s or 1000m/s
The penetration of the 9cm gun (with HEAT) is 350mm with the 9cm slpgr m/62 round. It is also discussed to give the 9cm gun a muzzle velocity of 1000m/s.

Penetration 40mm Akan m/48 (subcaliber round):

Range.....35dg.....60dg.....90dg
500m......40mm.....95mm.....117mm
1000m.....35mm.....75mm.....95mm

Id say there is potential to use that mention of a 12cm gun as armament for one of the proposals and use it as a high tier TD. that way we could save the S tank from the TD role if we wanted to. And a extremely fast small and mobile but poorly armoured tier 10 TD would be interesting.

but that is just speculation.

Well, these proposals are all quite similar to each other weaponry-wise. Google Drive is syncing now though so you can check them out for yourself.

Great find, ren! Always good to see new findings!

Also sp15, should we expect the Landsverk or Hagglunds proposals next?

Nice, lovely find there guys!

From the look of all tanks on how tiny and fast they all seem to be, it makes me think of a entire tree of E-25 relatives.

Im thinking of posting the Hägglunds proposals next since they are more interesting and varied. They also have several gun and engine options mentioned including the amx 13 90mm and a 105mm gun
