At the start of a round my tank drives in a circle by it's self. My hands are not on a the keyboard. Sometimes it will drive in a straight line by its self. The only way to get control back is to close the game and reconnect.

May be the result of two problems:
1. lag - what is your ping? the game uses the last received command if there is lag until it gets a new command.
2. keyboard - your keys or keyboard connection may be unreliable. Check the keyboard connection and try to remap the movement keys to completely different keys and see if that solves the problem, if so its a problem with the keyboard.

It's happens sometime to me but only if there's lagg. After the server split however I didn't experience any lagg so far... since I'm playin on the european server group.

Happens to me few times once my TD start circling and shooting every where.
may be due to

objects destructions by other players
lag
CPU overloaded at start of battles

I got a nasty bug for you; If you press the autodrive forward 3 times to max speed & you suddenly got disconnected by some random reason, your tank will still keep moving forward until it dies or hits something, until you reconnect again.

never had this happen to me before. The closest thing I can think of is when I'm holding down w (cuz I'm a FPS guy) and my tank just randomly stops. It's not as bad as no control, but it's annoying when the guy behind you rams you because you randomly stop. After that, I've been using the throttle more often....

I know in other games i have tested having a joystick connected makes your character turn in circles, maybe the same applies here?

Its called ghosting.  Happens to me all the time.  Basically you need to hit a few keys at the same time to get it to release.  Here is some info on it...

Happens to me a LOT and i'm getting a little more than fed up over almost winning a battle only to lose because my tank drives into a hot zone by itself, or keeps "stalling" like someone driving standard in a car that doesn't know how.  It seems to have started for me after the last update.  My ping is always between 40-60 ms.  I have a very powerful machine with oodles of system and video ram.   On an unrelated note.  The game sometimes sets my texture resolution to medium due to insufficient memory.   Now my system memory has 2 gigs free when running this game and my video card is an asus gts450 top video card (1 GB ram)  How much texture mem does this game need? lol

Those issues aside, I freaking LOVE this game.  You guys totally ROCK!

I've had that happen twice now, both times when using arty. Usually just mash a few keys to fix it.
Today I'm having a much worse problem.
Now, my ping is around 300 - as always, and I haven't made any hardware or software changes, so... today when game loads it's fine in garage but as soon as battle begins it gets "jumpy". Not just lag but worse. Even the music gets affected. I have no control over my tank, except being able to fire - with little or no accuracy, as the tank seems to be moving randomly. It will slide sideways, and either "bounce" off teammate's tanks, or go right through them! Weird. Game is unplayable for me while it's like this. Have left and reloaded a few times to no avail. About to try restarting computer to see if that helps. This is worse than the time I forgot to stop F@H client and tried to play WoT. Arrggh. Please help!

edit.
*blush. restarted PC - all working fine again now
