the Historical reticle thread - all Marsof...

tigershuffle's Photo tigershuffle Feb 15 2011

Hello,

Seeing as there is now a reticle produced by Marsoff for most of the popular tanks I thought i would put them all in one thread

there are (usually)  two files in each download ...the sniper reticle and the shadow surround.

make a back up of the stock reticle by creating a folder in /res/gui/flash  ( I would also copy each reticle to its own folder inside that)   for example res/gui/flash/backup/Tiger

unfortunately WOT only allows for one reticle in game at a time......so it becomes default 'sniper' reticle for all in game but the stock view remains the same.

Here goes - part 1.   **

you can use a swf compiler.........(they are flash files)
google for 'so think swf compiler'  its a free ware program

think some of the other cross hair modders might be able to help u out too

Thats the Sherman reticle ...already posted above .....the other thing maybe something I added ages ago from someone else

The yellow inverted V is a stock in game reticle......these mods only change the surround flash files of the reticle

You may not have the coloured reticle enabled ....ie Green for penetration  Yellow for possible pen   and Red for no penetration

If you are not seeing a change in the color of the reticle, this option can be activated in the setting menu.

There is a tab for the options in the drop down menu at the bottom left that activates the color change indicator. T

here are other useful reticle options here as well.

Very nice work tigershuffle, I really appreciate what you've done.

Just one small issue with the T-54 reticle - is seems that you've chosen to make the center of the reticle below the central /\ shape: in my understanding the top tip of the /\ should be the true center. I'm using this reticle right now, and am finding it a bit odd to use for this reason. I'm wondering what your thoughts were on this matter.

Thanks

EDIT: Disregard please: I didn't notice that they were originally created by Marsoff  :P

no probs.............. not sure if all the /\ marks are just the range scale and are meant to be along the top and the actual /\ in game is meant to be below ?!

Ive never ever used that one anyway http://forum.worldof...mile-hiding.gif as I dont play Sov tanks as I got bored at KV-1S in beta and have stuck with German tree at the moment    lol

I stick with the stuG TD one as thats what i play with the most.
