From my time in the US Army, I remember that tanks (M60A1, M60A3, M1A1) had white paint on the interior, and APCs (M113) had light green paint on the interior.

What colors did other nations use on the interior of their armored vehicles?

Also I've noticed that the decal/stickers used for interior stowage of items; Canteen, Flashlight, Ammo, etc, seem to have stayed the same since WW2.

The interior of the Leo 2 and British Challenger are also white for better lighting/visibility. It's a dark cave in there with anything else!

(I'd never find my car keys or flashlight if I dropped it in a dark tank)

WW2 british tanks were silver-coloured inside the fighting compartment from what I've seen, and a really weird shade of green in the engine compartment. WW2 US tanks that I've seen were white in the whole interior just like the ones you're familiar with

That's what I figured on the US vehicles. White would be a pretty good choice for interior visibility. It's interesting that the driver's control panels stay pretty much the same from WW2 up through the M60 series. Even the M1 panels wouldn't be to unfamiliar to an old tanker.

Germans used cream and Japanese used ivory.

It varied for me: Leopard C2 (modified Canadian 1A5) had a cream interior, Cougar also cream, Grizzly was white, and the M113 was mostly a light green.. although UN tended to 'turn' white since painting exterior and interior same was easier. I understand the Canadian Leo 2s can vary between off-white and cream based on regimental preference (some like the older cream)
