S-51 w/ 203mm: "Long Tom" (Mech Warriors will understand this reference)

IS/IS-2: I call mine "Ivan" or "Crazy Ivan"

Heh, I called my Marder II the Short Tom - basically similar reference :D My PzIII goes by the name "Oh Hai!" - since it seems nobody pays it much attention right up to the point I've blown their tracks and am popping shells up their rear end.

I call the Pz III/IV P34!  :lol:

(edit) That is not all! I call all T - whatewernumber tanks "Tero" (Finnish man`s name!)
Exeption with T28 which i call "Rotten barn" because of its size (huge) and durability (non existant)
And i call KV "pendolino" (It never goes anywhere)

Our crew started naming the T44 and T43 after sharks.

"Fast, lethal, circle you, last thing you see in a light / mid medium tank."

T44 = Great White
T43 = Mako

I think this is a great idea and I hope devs will keep their word (I heard Victor Kislyi say it) and give historical nicknames to tanks, especially when the EXTRA confusing US line comes. Having a medium like T-34 and a superheavy as T34 on same field is more than confusing, nevermind the fact hat the bloody americans did it backwards and their superheavy line naming convention is a real mess (T28 is below T34 but T34 is below T30)....

When it comes to german and russian tanks i mostly use terms like this one - PzKpfw III i call it just panzer III or simply '3', Panther i just call it Panther, t-34 i call t-34 and so on, but there are few exceptions.

PzKpfw 35(t) and 38(t) i call them both 'Pepik' which in my regional language means Czech.
PzKpfw IV - Bobble Head
PzKpfw III/IV - sometimes 'better 4' or 'cork-screw' due to its manoeuvre ability
VK3001P - Little Tiger or Tiger(P)
VK3001H - better panzer IV
Maus - Mice
Hetzer - turtle or Testudo
JagdPz IV - Guderian's Duck (sometimes i switch the letter D in duck to F :))
Sturmpanzer I Bison - M.Bison (dude from street fighter)
Sturmpanzer II - Cadillac or bathtub
Hummel - SturmHummel

MS-1 - teapot or excavator
T-28 - Coffin
KV - Whole Graveyard or Toilet Cab
IS series - Joe
T-44 - oh sh*t  (ya, if im in my Tiger I)
SU-14 - Bus
S-51 - LameGun (to be honest i call all arty guns like this, but not the hummel  and Sturmpanzers :P)

I've always felt the SU-18 looked like a teapot, especially with the little handles on the back doors. So I call it Teapot.
