Who was MLP?
MLP was "My Little PWNIES"

They were basically the self proclaimed best clam NA. They probably were to a certain degree too. Basically a clan filled with REALLY good players that you still see in top clans today. Unfortunately, some of the leaders over there had egos the size of Loz' hairline.

Ah, those were the days, as deputy commander in our up and coming little clan of BPN helped broker a ultimately ill fated merger with SSGS just in time for the final push on IR. Had the fun of a epic diplo/forum battle with Friction57 that nearly put BPN/SSGS  against MLP . Then holding MLP's north flank against RedSky's push for a couple of days until their T50-2 superscouts overwhelmed us,  even  SSGS had a helluva time countering that on those territories .

I joined PANZAC just after this in October 2011, interesting to say that the major clans we have now were nothing scaring in that time.

Havok had just 1 territory near PANZAC, that had 11.

But even tho they won a training game we had in that time in Montain pass.

Real interview question:
If NASA are so offended by this game, why don't they leave instead of dragging their crybaby sig around the forums?  The door's that way, don't let it hit you in the butt.  Go play -that other game- until you are so angry at it that you make another whiny sig and start swearing you'll play WoT instead.
.
.
And yes, that is the most visible thing NASA is known for around here.  Known for being butthurt overentitled crybabies in the worst and most stereotypically overentitled-NA-userbase way.  Don't like it, then kick out the people with the sigs.  Because they are the first and only impression of NASA that one gets from the forums.

With all the map changes in the past year, there seems to be no point in creating these massive clan alliances.. am I wrong thinking this?  Another note about alliances is the boredom factor.  If you are surrounded by friendly clans, who do you fight to maintain a certain level of fun?  Did this play a factor in NASA's demise?

all of the clan wars rule changes have diminished the amount of land one clan can hold, esp riots. previously it was possible to have 20+ provinces if you had your flanks covered, now 1/2 of that would be rioting.

boredom is always an issue of top clans when no one wants to fight them, many people join tournament teams as well.

nasa demise was all about ego, as many have already pointed out.

that's Iron Raiders, btw. it helps to spell your ex-clan correctly in your rant. IR was pre-nasa, but didn't have the staying power of nasa. the links i posted have some details of the Northern Alliance (IR, AoD, ROTA, IW, and Tanksbusters), the first power bloc at the beginning of clan wars (which formed from playing each other in the first Ural Steel tournament). also of note, MLP was IR's tier 10 Ural Steel tournament team before they broke off.

I gotta ask nagatron, where was the miscommunication in that last bit? I specifically laid out a framework for any diplo relations(specifically, keeping us as a buffer between you and AOD) and you guys agreed to work within that framework. The next day, you pushed chips past that boundary and your officers said, and I quote "What do you mean we couldn't move chips closer to AOD? That wasn't part of anything we talked about".
It looks like you described it pretty clearly to me. I wasn't a part of these discussions, but our next target was AoD. If you thought it was clear on your end and our officer thought it was clear on our end then that is by definition a miscommunication is it not?

That's not a question. Its a leading statement of your opinion, liberally sprinkled with emotionally charged, polarizing language.

Perhaps you should try again if you have a real question.

The game was different back then. Also, Royal and Whiskey are tremendous 50-2 players.

I have to ask, is their anyone left in FORGE that was around in the NASA days ?. I haven't looked who is in the clan for a LONG time, so I have no idea.
I think I joined right at the end of NASA after my old clan went to the waste side. Those were the days.

You mean Iron Raiders, that clan that zerged in like 5 subclans and had all its vassal states do all the work for it but folded in 2-3 days when the fighting actually came to them? IR only held any land in the first place because they got the chips in before anyone else and then surrounded themselves with subclans and vassals. They weren't good enough at fighting to hold land and their bad attempts at "diplo" are spoken for by the fact that most of the vanguard clans in the attack which mapped them were their former vassals.
.
The only reason IR is of note at all is because of all the hilarious drama they created by talking themselves up so much and then being crushed like pressed flowers in a garbage compactor the moment the war came to them. That and the fact that the alliance against them was where NDP made a lot of its friends and established Hessen as our ancestral homeland.
