miniUI

The goal of this mod is to have the least amount of UI elements possible while still retaining full functionality.
This mod isn't for newcomers as a lot of the elements have been removed or reduced so its only for those who fully understand the default interface.

As always be careful, make backups and have fun.

I'm remaking the whole thing for the current game version, pretty much all done, just need a bit of testing and a couple screenshots, so I should post it after Clan Wars today. Since I started from scratch again it may not be exactly the same as before but I will be taking requests for personalized changes (limited by my ability of course).

Updated the mod to version 1.3 to support game client 0.6.4
The screenshots in the first post are from the current version.
Remember to make backups.

Siberian, what are you using to edit (whatever files you are editing)?

I don't want less (looks good for those that like less). I want more!

Playing at home on my 55" TV there is plenty of tank vision space.  I want a bigger minimap and larger "who shot me" text.  I want more tatical stuff not less.

Some files you can edit using a flash decompiler without a problem, the reticle files are teh easiest I use Sothink SWF Quicken for that.
But the more important files like Battle.swf wont work because I dont have the Actionscript dependencies needed to recompile it again, so I have to try to edit the hex values in the file. To edit the hex you need to decompress the file (sorry can't tell you how) edit the hex code and recompress it. Alternatively you can try to edit the raw xml of the file but I have some problems with that method before.

For example to make the players panel be minimized by default I had to change the hex from
96 10 00 06 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 07 01 00 00 00 08 2C
(left panel)

to
96 10 00 00 00 00 00 07 01 00 00 00 07 01 00 00 00 08 2C

in the action script that changes
leftPanel.setMode(0);
to
leftPanel.setMode(1);

It only affects the lower left and center part of the UI?
Not the team listings?

The file is Battle.swf dont think it controls anything else so you can replace it with the original.
You can also change the player list by pressing CTRL+TAB and switching between the full, minimized and closed modes

Siberian, what is the potential of adding a damage dealt counter to the scoreboard, say in place of kills? Exactly what would be needed for it to function? What about displaying the HP of modules?
