Well, we're in the closing days of the campaign, time to express our opinions to the people that WG "listens" to. I tried to make the questions as neutral and flexible as possible. Please feel free to answer even if your clan chose to farm over in the sandbox map.
.
Please direct your clans to do this poll. The larger the number of voters is, the more seriously WGNA may take the results. I'd really like to hit 1,000 entries on this sucker before the year's out.

The absolute shittiest part of this campaign (amongst a whole host of shitty ideas) was hedging bets and keeping the sandbox open.
For vast periods, the Campaign map was sparsely populated and a good 50% of our fights were technicals because those clans that we did manage to confront in a battle didn't bother to show up, spoilt the battle with 1 tank hiding at the back of the map or otherwise proved no opposition worth mentioning.
Fame points are dumb.
Victory points are dumb.
The actual missions are dumb.
The stages are dumb.
No part of this did i enjoy, and my personal participation in this game went down 50% or more, not to mention that of my clan, who didn't need to attend because 25 or so were able to do the missions that get them the tank for the rest.
Good poll and question content btw Alphyn.

Personally, I liked having the sandbox there, so that the smarter clans could just stay there, farm like crazy, and pretend that all of this wasn't even happening. I wish very much that I had done that. Rel-A seems to have benefitted by doing that for the duration of the campaign, Loz... So at least there's that, right?
And I do like that keeping the sandbox open doubled the gold income accross the community. "Top" clans won't have noticed it, but all the mid-levelers will have benefitted a fair bit. Though I suppose it comes at the cost of no XP event since the arty event back in October.

my favorite part of keeping the sandbox open during the campaign will be the wailing when the campaign clans return and swiftly give a kick in the ass to those that have settled in their absence.

Eh, there's probably going to be another redivision. At least it'll be better than CW at this time last year. Remember January 2012 CW? If you remember it, then you weren't really there.
...
Because nobody was.
...
Because they shut it down for a month.

Nah. Powerfist clans are making 10K. Relic clans are making 10K. Reddit clans are making 10K.
.
45%er clans are making 1-3K.

Where's the option of "No, because watching bad clans earn gold made you angry"

-G- has already entered negotiations with the Scrub Alliance to fight off the opressive elite's clans.

Hmmm... Maybe for the next campaign, we could have a version that only rewards us with gold. Each territory could have a gold value on it, and you have to win fights against the landholder. Every day that you hold that land, your clan gets the gold value for that particular territory. You get onto the map through tournaments on riots and special "landing zone" areas.

How about odds and evens for next campaign. Clans and individuals accumulate points and at the end of the campaign, the even ranked clans & individuals get gold and odd ranked individuals & clans get a tank (or that is even decided at the end of the campaign, so no one really knows). Take it to the top 100 clans and top 5,000 or even 10,000 individuals. Really open up the competition to mid-level & scrub clans, but keep them guessing on what their reward might be.   :teethhappy:

I am all for more simplicity and having it be tier 10 only.

Redivisions are dumb, stages are dumb, fame points are dumb, missions are dumb. Make it landholding based, the thing that actually matters in actual clan wars. So what if top clans diplo their way into victory, that's how the game works. Repeatedly it's been proven WG can't make the mechanics work against diplo no matter how hard they try.
