I just got into my clan 2 weeks or so ago, and they did everything they could to help me get the points, so I realized it was a long shot.
But to come in at 3002... lol, that just SUCKS.

and far more organized.
I do feel bad for those that thought they were going to get a faillowe last night only to wake-up and find they are not in the top 3000. But this is not a WG fault or a top clans fault. Look closer to home at your command structure. It wasn't hard to count the many missions and the fact that they were worth a lot of fame points for the WHOLE clan. Not just the 15 that happened to battle on any given night.
I am sure some clans stayed away from these areas and just farmed gold. This was a wrong approach that again could have been avoided if they just took the time to read and figure out what is really took to get their members into the top 3000.
We had an officer specifically picking people for battles based on who needed the most fame points - it was a little bit communistic, but it ended up working out. Unlike you guys we only had one mission done - we had attempted another one and ran in to a stack of clans we couldn't get through on the LZ, and when attempting the missions we were not getting many battles, and rather than deciding to search out all the best options for completing missions, we'd battle it out. Once that change was done we fought and fought and fought, and it worked pretty well for us. At the end of the campaign we focused specifically on solidifying the people who were in the running for the tank to get it, and it did screw a few people out of a shot, but every single person we tried to get a tank got one.
That person did hours and hours of work. He's gonna get paid for it too.

you might stlll get the tank if WG counts people with the same amount of fame points as 1 spot on the alley of fame. from what i heard, its how it was done in the 1st campaign.

Yup I though the whole idea behind the campaign was to reward individual players skills not the top clans that can field 12 T62a's or 12 is7's every game. I am more pissed at myself for thinking I actually had a chance than anything else, wargaming has screwed this stuff up every time they have done it why should I think this time would be anything different. Also getting rid of the victory point stealing after the first phase because the top clans were losing there places was a real shocker.... not.
Best lineup ever right there.

You would have had a chance if you finished several missions. Did you not read the rules?
REL-2 has a guy in a coma and he got a tank because they did so many missions.

The missions were listed, the points each one gave was listed, there was a beepbeep's thread. You had to know that clans were doing the missions. I don't know how much more warning you needed that battles, without doing the missions, wasn't going to be enough. These are the reasons I have no sympathy for your clan and have schadenfreude at your predicament.

Well i played and did my part and qualified in the end. but i do disagree with war gaming giving points to players that are in the clan but did not participate. The End
