What are your reviews on chi-to guys?, im about to start whit it to end whit the mission.

Everything complete exept china and japan: 500K exp

China is around 60k and whit japan i have the tier 5 whit 4k exp fully upgraded exept for radios.

The Chi To is better than the Type 58, much better gun. Be prepared for some pain with the Chinese line.

LOL!

It's like you didn't even look at the post directly before yours!

I have been playing my tanks recently with the Chi-To first and after a win in that playing the Type 58 next, I think that the Type 58 is a LOT better to play.  I will probably sell the Chi-To after this mission, but keep the Type 58.

I think the Chi To is better, but not MUCH better. I'll take the better gun over the faster tank, especially in higher tier matches. With the Chi To I almost always penned, even through T-29s and Jumbos in front, with the Type 58 it's a lost cause, you need gold all the time, and even that doesn't work half the time, and the damn thing just isn't accurate. I've had a few good games in it, but overall I don't like it (not that I love the Chi To either).

The nightmare has finally ended..... I got my IS 6 last night.

Overall

I started out with 1 tank each nationality - Sherman E8 (rebought), Cromwell (New), AMX 12t (New), A43, VK 3002 (M), Type 58 and A 43. I added the Chi To when it became available. Just before the x5 days, I did two things. I bought another tank for each nation (except the French and of course Japanese) and went for something other than stupid medium tanks... So, I added a Hellcat (New), Jg Pz IV(New), KV 1S(New), 59-16(rebought) and Churchill VII(New). I played so that all the countries' scores were going up at similar rates. I finished France and China on Saturday, the UK and Germany on Sunday and the rest last night.

The Good:

Really liked playing the AMX 12t, it was a joy to play (except see below)

Got my 100th and 101st Ace Mastery with the 12t and the VK 3002(M)

Killed a Pro with my E8 in one of the last games I played

Checking my stats, I played the Hellcat and the Jg Pz IV 28 games each. And both have 61% win rates. Considering my overall win rate dropped about 0.10% overall, this made me feel a little better.

The Bad:

.... The grind. It was like a second job. I needed to win 11 games each day. Plus a few more. I played before I went to work and then picked it up in the evening. (Of course, I was also spending time in Guild Wars 2 doing Dailies and getting my tricolor key, but I digress. And it cut into my Anime time, but I digress some more....)

The past week, getting killed by Rhm B Wts.... For some reason, this cause of death spiked recently. I died to them three games in a row.

Gun depression on the 12 T, or lack of it. I died several times on a slope, trying to get that one shot off. (back up a bit.... gun too low, move forward a bit... gun to high, repeat until death). I felt like a dog turning circles before going to sleep.

I have no idea how many games this took, it seems like a blur... (plus wasn't keeping track). Number of games for new tanks purchased for the contest - 12t (142), Cromwell (69), Chi-To (115), Churchill VII (33), KV 1S (31), JG PZ IV (33), Hellcat (33)

I would make a note to myself not to do another month long mission, but would probably not find it when needed. Anyway, I think I may take a couple of days off from playing.... after my last minute attempts to win Imperial Steel that is.

Good luck to anyone who is trying to finish now.. And if you are just starting this... no, just no......

Got mine about 3 weeks ago. Very first game I tried it in got called a wallet warrior by a guy in a IS3, lol. Told him I got it free by playing tier 6 tanks and asked if he knew of the challenge, he said yes but still called me a wallet warrior so then I knew he was clueless to the challenge.

I completed the IS-6 Challenge yesterday.  It took me 22 days.  It was stressful for me because before I started (the challenge) I had only played with Soviet tanks.  So, I had to grind the other nations to get a qualifying tank.  It ended up with me playing;

VK36.01 H - 110 Matches
Chi-To -109 Matches
Type 58 - 115 Matches
Cromwell - 134 Matches
Hellcat - 168 Matches
ARL V39 - 172 Matches

Pro's:
I'm confident I made lots of people happy by providing a target rich environment for them.
I found several tanks that were more fun or better than their Soviet counterpart.
I did learn alot about the tanks I normally fight against.

Con's:
I'm probably the cause of much rage for teammates that relied on me to play better.  But I tried really hard to do well.
The grind and time constraint made this challenge feel like an obligation/job at times.
It was frustrating playing tanks with sub-par crews and having to learn new skills to play them with a time constraint.
ARL V39.  Words cannot convey my displeasure with whomever made this TD.  I still fervently wish a long period of confinement in a non-consensual sex cage upon you.

Overall, I would do it again.  I think it made me a better player.

Correct, so you have just under 32 hours left as of this posting.

I already had the IS-6, so the gold I earned helped me skip a bunch of tanks that I was not enjoying to get me into tanks I am enjoying.  So, as a result of the free XP I earned and converted I added to my garage: T71, AMX 13-90, ST-I, T-28 Prototype, FV304, and the Chi-Ri.  I also ground out the XP for the Black Prince, researched it, bought it, and dumped the Churchill VII.  Plus I got some good crews ground out.  Overall a great experience, hope we see similar missions in the future.

Over the last 9 days I've done close to 90 hours of work + 9 hours of travelling to & from work, this has made it hard to put as much time into the game as I would have liked.

Regardless, my doubles today finished the Chinese & French missions.

Then I played a few battles in my Chi-To.

My last battle:

Which means:

Woohoo!

Already had the IS-6, so I used the gold to buy a Type 64 with 100% crew, full perm camo and full equipment, freed up all my experience, plus I sold the Type 58 and awful ARL V39 and traded up to a T-34-1, fully equipped and upgraded with the former Type 58 crew, plus I bought a Chi Ri at a discount and fully upgraded that with 100% crew, camo, equipment, etc., so maybe now I can have some fun rather than grinding crappy tanks. Glad this is over. Going to bed.

Day 29 Sad Grind Update:

Day 29: Finished. Thanks all who believed in me (and those who donated gold to this Sad Grind). I am so happy this ordeal is over. +11.1k

Tank:                                           Progress:          Daily Δ:
Russia: KV-1S                            100k/100k          DONE
Germany:  VK 3001M, Jadg 4   100k/100k          DONE
Britain: Cromwell                       100k/100k          DONE
America: Hellcat                         100k/100k         DONE +11.1k
China:  Type 58                          100k/100k          DONE
France: ARL 44                          100k/100k          DONE
Japan: Chi-To                             100k/100k         DONE

Total: 700k/700k                                                 +11.1k
Minimum Per Day XP:                                       Finished!

See the full Sad Grind Log here. Glad this grind is finally over, after some 1300 odd battles (more battles packed into this month than I've played in the past year and a half of playing this game.) Overall, my WR has gone up 1 full percent (48.63% --> 49.64%), and I now have researched at least one tier 7 in each of the nations. Unfortunately, my recent WR and WN8 have been torpedoed, and I've backslid to full yellow instead of burgeoning green.

I think I'm going to take a break from this game for the next 2-4 weeks, and just play other games. This grind was much too stressful for my blood. But I'd do it again for a premium 8/it's gold amount in a heartbeat.
