Hello everyone,

I couldn't find a topic for best heavy tank by tier that was up to date, so I decided to make one myself.

Let me know what you think.

All the ones I voted for were the top chosen. So I guess I know my tanks!

What you can learn from this:

British heavies are bad.

I think the poll is flawed by omission: Pz.Kpfw. B2 740 (f) is excellent in tier 4, Churchill III & T14 are both very good in tier 5 . In fact, my maximum destroyed in battle is 10 with the Churchill III - 2802 XP.

I started this poll thinking "ok.. i'm going to NOT include my my preference for russian tanks in my decision making process..."
when I'm done voting i look back... "crap... i chose all russian tanks except for the IS-2... which is basically russian... so much for avoiding my bias..."

I like the ST-I over the E75 when I play it, but I know the lower plates can't compare when not being hid.  As for tier 10, 1600 damage in 6 seconds on average is huge.

anyone who did not vote either T57 or E100 for the best T10 heavy is out of their mind. They are the only viable heavies in the current railgun meta.

I'm also suprised nobody voted for WZ-111 1-4, that tank's carry potential is even greater than E75.

so...i remember when the tiger 2 was considered the best t8...is it because of 8.6 that the is overtook it?

I changed the post to include polls for premiums.

I went E5, but I'll grant that the T57 is a dpm machine. Problem with the T57 is it's turret crew layout lets it down when hit from the sides or rear. The turret has nice slopes but you don't want to just sit somewhere trading shots with it. E100 is a harder nut to crack, but crackable. The E100 you have to work harder to kill. If the E100 can keep its front to you, he will eat you. The problem is that it is so slow, even an IS4 can disengage and  fight another day, or wait for backup. The T110E5 is still a great all round tank. Not very fast, but for a heavy it can get around. The tumor on the top of the E5 is not auto death by no means for this tank.

Why no love for the AMX M4? I find that tank to be very enjoyable to play...

Didn't care for the IS, but love my KV-3 (its a true heavy tank.)

Soon I'll get the T29, I don't have any opinions on it as of now.

dont get me wrong, T10 HTs are pretty balanced within its own tank type and against meds. However when facing T10 railgun TDs, T57 and E100 are the only viable heavies in most senarios.

Ahh, yes, the rail gun tier X TD's, lol, I think those have been a shock for most players. I have noticed E100's come out alive if they angle just right. T57's get melted unless they see them and can fire back quickly. Those TD's treat my IS4 so badly.

The KV4 is a nice troll tank, and when the reds see one on the enemy team, it is target #1 of tier VIII. I think it's lack of speed hurts it for most folks.

Have only played up to Tier 5 Russians. I liked the M6 probably more than I should. The ARL has such terrible gun handling but the penetration is great. I like all my Tier 7 heavies but I will give the nod to my Tiger P because of low ammo cost and the ability to turn a profit. The AMX M4 can too but the armor is weak so you can't go like a boss. T29 and my IS2 are great tanks but the ammo cost keeps them from turning much of a profit for me. ( non premium account now) Voted the tier 8 French one with the autoloader just because.

I will never understand the near-obsessive worship of the KV-1 and KV-1S.  I love my 1S and don't want it touched, but neither is the best heavy in their tiers.  People are simply drinking the Kool-Aid and asking for seconds.
