Any guesses on when a test server for 9.0 8.11 will be out? Will we be able to test the new physics engine? I have never used a test server, thought I would try it out once I get back to my good computer.

EDIT-Ok, not 9.0, 8.11...... Stupid of me for not looking up what came next, but I naturally thought it would be 9.0......Oh well.

9.0 will come out sometime after 8.11

You -do- know that 9.0 isn't the next patch, right?

Not necessarily, but 8.11 is the next patch.

I really have no idea what you're going at, but no, after 8.11 is 9.0.

FYI it's not "math", it's more like (major version).(smaller update).(small tweak).  So in this case, the major version is 8th, the smaller update is the 11th of the version, and there are no minor tweaks after the update.

IIRC last ASAP video SerB said the patch iteration will go 8.11 then 9.0.  With some elements for the Havoc engine being introduced/updated in 8.11 then the full engine in 9.0.

Would you rather it be just one more patch until then...that takes 9 months?

Patience is a virtue with game development my friend..Enjoy the game you have now and appreciate what theve already done to get to 8.10

Don't be arrogant.

You apparently don't understand computer programing revisions.  Typically they have a base number that reflects the majority of the programing from one major change to the next.  This is reflected as say 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, 9.0, etc.  Then each of these baselines will have numerous minor revisions and additions typically reflected by the number after the dot, ie 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, etc.   However unless there is a major change, the base revision, in this case 8.XXX will not change (basically the main engine or programing doesn't change at this point, only minor additions and revisions).  There is no upward limit to the number of revisions so you could theoretically have a revision 8.293 meaning the 293rd revision to the base 8.0 version of the program.

We are at the 10th revision to the 8.0 version of the game.  When they patch next, we will be at the 11th revision of the 8.0 version of the game hence, the designation 8.11.  The 9.0 version will be the next designation for the next major upgrade.

I'm still not over the fact that they named the last patch 8.10. :hiding:

I'm still not over the fact they had to change their numeration from 0.8.10 because people cried, "Why is this game still in beta?" upon it's release.
