Oh my god I need to use that next time someone feels that their stats are more important than others fun.

But its ok that your fun is more more important than others?

Not all definitions of fun are the same.

I use the lowresallinone mod that lower my texture of the game and double my fps from 7 to 15fps. And use no scope shodow. So basely anything that will increase my fps. AND GOT TO HAVE THAT MINIMAP MOD!! Also if you are unsure of the download link, try scrolling down and read people comments to see if it can be trusted

I play to enjoy myself.  To do so I expect the best design possible from the game.  But some of WoT's features are mediocre at best (i.e.: aiming reticle), which is why people write mods.

And some times, the mods are what make a game popular.  The long-obsolete game Joint Operations comes to mind.  It was a good retail FPS game, but the list of maps it came with got old quick and the developers couldn't create map packs fast enough to keep the players interested.  But... the developers had the brilliant idea of allowing players develop maps and mods, and it gave the game a whole new life that made people keep buying the stale old game 5-8 years after the developers stopped work on it.  I think I bought 3-4 copies of it myself, most to give out to my friends.

So, hell yes, I use mods.  Would I keep playing without them?  Probably... unless a competitor's game (or the mods available for it) made the competing game better than WoT.

I tried out XVM and Jimbo's something or other a year back.  I got tired of the mods breaking with each patch and I'm too lazy to keep up with them. Add to that, I'm still leer/suspicious of sites that ask for your account credentials just to temporarily "activate" a feature so I do without all of them now.

I don't use mods and really don't care if others do.

The poll leaves out another possibility....I don't play with mods.  And I don't.

It would be a real pain finding crew and equipment but the rest are easy to do without.

I played vanilla for over 16000 games. Then I found some skins with crew members and it made the game more realistic.  Then I found Gnomefathers sound packs, again, more realism.  Now I just use Aslain's modpack.  He keeps it current, fresh, and legal.  I prefer my modded game to vanilla these days.

To answer the title question: Yes.  No mods -- none.  Not for a second.

Think I can play just fine, thanks.

YMMV

I started with the feeling i wouldn't play with mods or need them.

Soon realized WG is very lazy and depended on others to fix their game for them.

It apparently takes 8+ years to implement something basic like a default server option.

95% of what is good in this game was not designed by war gaming it was taken and copied from mods people made and incorporated into the game

remove all mods and this game will stop getting better as the mods i use are mostly to correct things about the game that simply do not work well if at all ...

simple mods like having a CLOCK in the garage so you know what time it is without turning around to look at the clock on the wall 30 feet away past a hallway and in another room .. wargaming will NEVER put a clock in hangar as it will only tell everyone when to turn off the game .. cant have that

I quit using mods about a year ago when I realized they started to affect me negatively (basically XVM which made me feel angry every match when I could see players stats) and have had more enjoyment since.

I use my own remodel so my favourite tank (Jumbo) does not make my eyes bleed, it's so ugly with those extended mudguards.

I look at xvm as no different than scouting tapes in the nfl. Knowing who the impact playes are on both teams should not be a secret. Also like the garage mods, icons, panels, and sound mods in aslains pack

Whether you think it should be a secret or not, fact is it is a secret unless you install XVM, so the mod user has an information advantage over those not using it.

Doesn't matter to me, I have not used them since the spotting circle was added to the standard client.
