I played the XBox version at PAX and hated it. I will not cross over no matter how many premium low tier freebies they offer.

Thankfully no cross over. Imagine adding screaming 8 years olds driving Fail-E100s equipped with all HE, to the layer of pub-trash that we have now. I think even WG knows it would be suicide for the game.

Is there WOT on XBOX One?

Planned, I think, but only on 360 right now.

Have also heard some rumor about PS4 ...

Ultimately it will be good for us.  It will bring the game into the spotlight which means more players, more money, more updates, better service (hopefully), etc.

It's just as likely that predominantly XBox players will discover WoT and like it enough to play the PC version.  If this happens, what we're likely to see is new players who are very good at WoT because they learned how to play it on XBox first.

I wouldn't necessarily say they would be "very good". They may understand basic mechanics [which is a good thing], but the xbox meta is very different - controls are far more clunky and people tend to use cover much less [all tanks are faster as well]. If anything, the players will be more aggressive/YOLO until they learn how to play the PC version.

Xbox WoT is nothing like PC. It was directed towards the COD crowd, so there are some noticeable differences:

1. Cannot see entire minimap. As a result, most Xbox players know nothing of various parts of the map.

2. Sixth sense is not a perk. It is on ALL tanks PERMANENTLY. I also think the delay is gone, so you know immediately when you are spotted.

3. Researching. You research "Module Packages" that upgrade your tank. They also have not implemented crew yet, so that allows for very few customization options.

Well one thing, its still in Beta so they simply haven't added crew yet so they compesate by giving everyone sixth sense, and they plan on allowing you to research individual modules later. From what I know anyways

Hopefully seal clubbers will go there to club the fresh seals and leave low tier seals unmolested for a few weeks.
And the 9 year olds will leave this game.

Win win.
(Also, I play PC version with an xbox controller. Because I feel that assimilation between platforms is necessary to the modern world .)

This 9 year old is not going away.  And its too bad we will not be on the same servers.  I had been looking forward to some more seal clubbing.

Different game engine.  Different resolution.  Those on the PC will stay PC unles their kids want to split screen on the Xbox.

Could mean that others will enjoy the style of game you are, hence positively supporting a more cohesive family.  Less teenage pregnancies and lower crime rates.  Otherwise, it remains Parenting By Keyboard.

hmm...I may try it out. I'm sure I could create a lot of pubbie tears. Mouse and keyboard will always be superior imo though so it would only be for fun

There won't be cross platform play.  I doubt people will gravitate toward XBox, because controlling a tank with an XBox controller is a laughable proposition at best.  What it might mean is that the WoT PC community bleeds 8 year old players over to XBox, and that's a good thing for everyone.

And thats a very good thing. Yes sir that is great. Xbox hurry up.

I'd love if we had cross-platform so we can club CoD morons who have the intelligence of a codfish, who think consoles are more intuitive than PCs. ROFLMAO.

Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately we won't have this issue.

Pretty sure the worst of the XBox users haven't found their way over here yet.  That would mean they would have to leave their idiot box.

Console users coming over to PC en masse and dominating?

O.K.

A reroll will have advanced knowledge of the PC platforms nuances.

XBOX skiddies? Not so much.

I don't think I would mind if our version crossed over with their's unless WG has to deal with MS's crappy policies regarding patches.

This isn't the kind of game that requires a lot of skill or precision.

I didn't say they'd come en masse. In fact I said the opposite.  I also didn't say they'd dominate.  The skiddies who can't play WoT on XBox aren't likely to leave their XBox to try the PC version.  Those who do play WoT well on the XBox and decide to try the PC version, will likely have no problems making the transition.  The controls may be different between the two platforms, but knowing strengths and weaknesses of the tanks, (tank angling, what rounds to use and where to aim, how to use cover, etc.) are what makes a better player.
