8.11 update changes

Highlights:

 

- New urban winter map.

- 150mm and 152mm tier 10 TD guns nerf, from 850 damage to 750 damage, but DPM remains the same.

- 130mm and 170mm tier 10 TD guns will remain untouched.

- Foch 155 loses the 1200 hp engine, keeps the 1000 one.

- Object 268 HEAT shell 'significantly' nerfed.

- National battle mode. Japanese and chinese tanks not available for this mode, as they don't have a complete tree yet.

- Tweaks to Erlenberg, Redshire, Northwest and Highway.

- New Bigworld engine. Probably still no proper multicore support though. This update is mostly just an ease-of-development update.

- Transferring and retraining crews from one vehicle to the next will become easier. Note: easier =/= cheaper.

- Chat history log, option to turn chat off completely.

- Purchased camouflages and emblems will be stored instead of destroyed when buying new ones.

- 'Tank on fire' more obvious by way of icon similar to 'tank drowning' icon.

- Option to turn 'this is the tank that killed you' screen off. Finally.

I don't know. Why are you sitting there waiting for 9.0? What makes an update 8.11 so terrible, if update 9.0 isn't ready to roll out yet?

I don't know if you guys agree with me but they need to rework the camo system so TDs aren't invisible.

National Battle mode? Something that I would play but fear we dont have the population for.

It'll work similar to Assault and Encounter. A mode that can pop up in a random pub battle, unless you switch it off. So, it'll only happen when there are sufficient tanks available for it.

 

 

 

Guys, can we please keep the WoT vs WT debate somewhere else? This is a thread about 8.11, not about WT.

By national mode, I'm assuming that is say full teams of  American's vs German's for example.

So the Foch 155 is purportedly only going to be a mobility nerf? > : )

Am I correct in this assumption Lert? As the 155mm gun is not mentioned here.

3 T34's, 3 T29's

...and of course, 9 Hellcats

Obj. 268 and Foch 155 are OP, but no where as close as WT E100. I guess they are waiting for noobs to catch up so they can nerf it right when they unlock it.

1. last thing this game needs is another new garbage map made of nothing but choke points. pro tip: adding snow to abbey doesnt make it new or good

2. td guns dont need a nerf. td vehicles need a nerf. hp nerf, forcing players to be more cautious with them. lowering the alpha of the 268 but keeping the dpm the same will do nothing but make them even more aggressive

3. multicore support has been offered by every major title for the last 5 years, yet wg cant seem to get it sorted out. since beta, it was promised that it would happen. yet here we are, over 2 years later, and rigs that run crysis 3 flawlessly crap fps on this game out at a slow and constipated rate because this company is too busy adding "new content" to fix the crap they pooped out years ago.

 

this kind of garbage is what makes money-grabbing companies tank (pun intended) as soon as a competitor shows up. star wars galaxies? shit the bed when WoW came out. Everquest? same story. why? because SoE is a money grabing garbage developer. as soon as competition came out, they folded. i have spent a lot of time on this game, and have had a lot of fun. but the issues that were ruining the experience 2 years ago have been completely ignored, and now there is a competitor about to loom its head, and these are the "improvements" they vomit out. its crap.

It is better to nerf both hitpoint and alpha, both broken. I agree keeping the RoF though.

National battle mode sounds like pure crap. Some nations are blatantly better at certain tiers. I'll be turning that off without even playing it.
