You must go to a different WoTlabs than I do, If anything the comments I have seen have been helpful and constructive.  I agree there is a bit of chest thumping and insults in the purple poaster forum but its pretty much always good natured.

No, I think it's the same place you're talking about.

And from what I've gathered, sadly, it seems to be just a hangout place for the elitists, & re-rolls,  'blues & purples' ....all other colors "need not apply".....and/or 'enter at your own risk', and prepare to be stat-bashed.

{I also noticed by your siggy, that you are "blue", and that you really like your tank destroyers....I bet that helps there....:blinky:...doesn't it...}

Well buddy you're part of the problem. Telling someone they play bad is useless and irrelevant. Telling people how to get better, thats the way.

I mean I dont yell "stupid moron, &^#$%^^%" to someone who's not playing right. I say, your M6 is not a TD. ( see the difference, constructive criticism )

I told him why I think he was not playing right. And in a way how he should play.

Bullying with stats or anything, is worthless. Give them something, not pure proof you're idiot, give them something to think on.

Something like: Dont stay on that corner, there are arty about.

Or something like: Dont stop in the open to take a shot, hide first, survivability > kills

This^ is excellent advice. I wish we had more players like you in the game, Lazypete. And yes, I know not everyone will listen to good advice, however, sometimes we can coax even the most stubborn players into

learning, changing, and improving their game just by making our "advice" in-game {and in the forum} a little more constructive, and positive....instead of always 'going for the throat', and 'stat-bashing & stat-bullying'....

*I believe this might also help improve the overall quality of our game/player base:  {have a look...}

http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/topic/399312-heres-a-great-suggestion-for-our-wot-developers/page__pid__8079430#entry8079430

And this ridiculous argument I constantly hear from people of "grow thicker skin"...or... "shut up and take the insults"....really is part of the problem, and does nothing to help the situation....and actually just makes it worse.

{In my career, I've grown some pretty thick skin....and even I disabled my chat recently because I was so sick and tired of seeing the same old crap in game/chat....}

have u had a game with top 3 tier 10 tanks in platoon with stats a bit better then bots? Did u ever see a scout hiding in a bush behind TDs? or 2 scouts going together in the same direction and get killed in first min? If I see their stats I don't expect much.

BTW, sometimes u see a bad player calls others noobs - it is a great way to shut him up by pointing out his own stats.

So I've played this game awhile, and although I'm not too good, I do enjoy it. Very frustrating though to get a message after a battle from someone telling me I suck and that I'm a noob because of my stats. I know this (insults from other players) happens in every game out there but it would be nice to hide my stats to the public, so that only I know I suck and don't have to be reminded by some of the better players out there haha.

Few people have a problem with players that "suck".  That is... so long as those players stay at tiers 1-6, where they are the norm.

The problem is when those players get into the highly competitive tiers 7-10... and through their cluelessness cause the game to be lost.  That is when normal players get mad and cuss you.

Kind of hard to instruct them what to do when they have chat turned off. Or have some sort, I presume from their play, of issue with comprehension of the English language.

If you suck at low tiers, nobody cares. Bring that tier 9 or 10 tank and basically be a liability? You deserve every bit of crap thrown your way.

Well, on that point.....

Maybe we should have a skill based mm system here then..like they use on the Russian server. It would solve that problem you just outlined, because those "crappy players" {myself included} could finally bring

their tanks to a tier 9/10 match and not "ruin" the games of the 'superly-awesome'. Because us "crappy players" would be too busy having fun, and playing against each other....

I would love to finally be able to do this!

*If they did this^, I might finally start playing my IS-6 again, without worry that I might mess up somebody's game....and then have to be reprimanded with insults on how I, alone, lost the battle for everyone...:sceptic:

So, you guys can have your 'awesome players', and play amongst yourselves....I'd much rather play tanks with others like me...{45'ers-49'ers}

...it's not just there, on the RU server, dude, even many great, and well known players here, have been asking for a skill-based mm  too. Have a look:

http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/topic/305401-ill-take-1-skill-based-matchmaker-please/

...and now, some sort of "skill-based" ranking system is even wanted on the wot "Xbox" edition...again, have a look for yourself:

http://forum.worldoftanksxbox360edition.com/index.php?/topic/15973-so-how-long-after-release-until-we-see-clanranked-matchmaking-of-some-sort/

*Like I said earlier, I think introducing a skill-based ranking system in the match maker would really improve the overall quality of this game, and dramatically reduce the stat-bashing/bullying.

The greatly skilled players would get to play with others of the same caliber, and us 'noobs' {< myself included}, would finally get to enjoy playing our tier 8 premiums, or any other high tier tank

without worrying about messing up the matches of the 'superly-awesome'...   because I would love to play my IS-6 again...with others like me, who don't really care about how many millimeters of

armor on are the back, left fender of a T110E5....we just want to have fun, and blow tanks up....what's so wrong with that...?

If your doing good I tell you about it, so in turn if you playing S$%^y the same go's. This has nothing to do with what color your magic stat bar is.

This even go's for myself if I screw up as well.

If you can't deal with that, well to bad. Grow a pair.

This is why WOT is so toxic.  It's moron's, like this one, who know nothing about helping others. These selfish little b-tches need to be removed from the world.

Ok so what is your expectations from others? Should they just wave at you as you drag a team down? Pat on the back "its ok little timmy, we'll get them next time champ"

I just dont know what peoples expectations are in these types of situations.

That is the way of the world with millennials. You really can't tell them anything since they are used to participation trophies and their parents blocking them from bad words and opposing points of views that they do not like. So it's most likely the first time in their lives they are being hit by reality in the face, and obviously do not like it.

Wow! this thread was almost 3 years old before someone posted in it...:B...now if I did that?!!! ...well, you know...

However, I still wouldn't classify that as 'necroing' for the following reasons:

-Topic is still extremely relevant to this day

-Classic threads never go out of style

-Ask yourself, is this still an ongoing issue/problem? YES..obviously.

Spoiler

I  think stat bullying' is for players who have a 'I know better than you' mentality.

The ones who can only think one way about anything.

Hence, the ones who think everything WG/WoT does is better than any other view. ROFL.

 My stats aren't good (at least, this is what these 'bullies' like to remind me of) yet I can do well in battles (even at tier 10).

How one does in  any battle depends on whether the RNG favours your shots and who the MM places on your team.

 Those are the real determinants and, quite frankly, the MM cheats a great many players.

Hey Lovesock307, I will extend you an invite to my clan...BTB...  We do regular one on one training session with our specialist we have in each class of tank...we have regular clan training sessions on Maps, Vehicle weak spots etc...and we manage to have fun doing it....You are most welcome to come on in with BTB (Bring The Boom), a bunch of the previous posters just said.."get Better"   well this is a chance to do so... I would agree with the previous poster about getting to the Leopard..it is a VERY high skill tank....I started with the Russian Heavies, they are more forgiving to a new player.

Anyhow...Ignore the asshats or blacklist them and enjoy killing them later...

^..What are my expectations..?

*I expect good players to be good role models. I expect them to take the high road...and have the fortitude and patience to make a valid point and provide constructive positive feedback without being a disrespectful, insulting stat-bashing bully. If a player is unable to do that, then they shouldn't be providing any feedback at all.

In other words...

I expect good players to be good leaders. Staff included. I don't think that's expecting too much.

Jesus, I would say you are expecting too much... but hey set the bar high i guess. I choose not to so i'm constantly disappointed.

edit: who the hell makes good role models all the time these days? I can't think of any.
