Hey guys, I've been looking for a new premium tank to buy for money making, guys suggested me to take the IS-6.. at first I was worried about the insanly bad accuracy of its gun.. but when I started to play with it.. I changed my mind quickly.

I suggest anyone whose looking for a premium tank for money making or just a crew trainer, the IS-6 would be your best option!

Honestly, once my job kicks back up, I'll be going with the T34 personally, I like its gun, its armor fits my general play style, and I'm very heavy in the "American" tree, so it just fits me better. Their is no "best" premium tank, only which one best suits "you".

I am sorry, but you are wrong on two counts...

First,  the T34 is unarguably, inexcusably, unequivocally the best premium vehicle available today.  Anyone who says otherwise is either a liar or partaking of some hallucinogenic drug.

Second, two battles is not an adequate sample size.  Fifty or more is my rule...that usually gets rid of any unusual trends.

Wow, after two battles, it's been determined, have you ever played the T34?

Personally i love the armor protection over alpha damage, i have been considering the Chinese 112 which is supposed to be a more armored is6 (but slower i think).

The T34 is a solid tank but the hull can be super soft.  I'd like a beefier tank that can brawl in close.   Any thoughts on 112 as an option?

T34 Is slow, weak armored and sees tier 10s in pubs, while the IS-6 is pretty mobile, bouncy, better DPM, pref MM...

IS-6 is the best tier 8 premium tank, not the best tier 8 premium money maker.

With over 100 battles in the IS-6, I think its a great T8 Premium. The armor is really troll.

The gun is its weakspot, but if your brawling its doesn't really matter. The sniping shots i have hit with it are just very good RNG on a nice, sunny day.

When you are in T9 and need some help, just load the gold. In a good game, you'll still make money and get the penn you need.

T34 - excellent support/hull down tank, but suffers when forced into a traditional heavy role

IS-6 - excellent brawler and bully, but suffers when forced into a frontal confrontation with heavy armour

They are both excellent in their respective roles, it comes down to which role you prefer

You mean the rolling bomb? Have fun when you find yourself getting racked when on a roll. I've personally racked 3 of them so far, using the 105 on my Jagdpanther II. I find them to be fun to shoot

Well yeah, you don't play it as a sniper.. only close combating and brawling.

If you're brawling in a T34, no offense, but you're playing it wrong. It's like most american tanks, it plays exactly like most american tanks. Hulls down, putting that 120MM to work, its a bloody monster and can be hell to dislodge or fight, while if it's hull is exposed, its easy to kill, its just like most tanks in the American line, if you let them get hulls down they're very likely gonna put a hurt on you.

Yes, I do realize the T34 is squishy, its got a slow firing, but very powerful gun that can put a hurt on even tier 10's, and it doesn't have preferntial match making. It feels a lot like playing the T25/2 without the pop-gun, and I love every bit about it. It's a premium that fits ME, their is no "best" tank, their is only the tank that best fits ones "Style", and for me that's the T34, though I'd wager I wouldn't be half bad with a lowe if I played it.

I have 2 prem tanks .... T34 and the type 59. I chew up IS-6's all day long with My T34. to what Caramel said I whole heartily agree ... there is no best prem tank. it's the tank that best fits "you".

The IS-6 would be if it didn't have the horrible gun it has. 175mm of pen sucks for a Tier 8 heavy and even the gold rounds only have 217mm of pen which is still worse than all the Tier 8 heavy tanks standard ammo penetration values.   Also on top of that, the gun on the IS-6 is inaccurate as hell which means you can't even really aim for weak points to help compensate for the low penetration values.

Personally I think the T34 is the best.  While it doesn't get perfered MM, it does get a gun with a massive 248mm of pen using standard ammo, basically a Tier 9 level gun which allows it to compete at any tier level it gets thrown in to.  Basically I find the T34 to be more versatile as no matter the Tier or the Map the T34 can always contribute and honestly carry a match if it has to.

I like how he highlights his average experience per battle but doesn't highlight that he's only played two battles.  I don't have an IS-6 but from what I've experienced I'd say Ox is dead on.

Not giving an opinion on the T34 since I have never played it.

However with that being said after the patch it will be seeing more tier 10 battles due to the elmination of the 12th battle tier. It will be interesting to see if this alters some peoples opinion of the tank and its overall stats after a while. IS-6 on the other hand gets the special match making so it will seeing lower tiers more often.

I don't think that 2 battles is enough of a sample size for you to draw the conclusion that the IS-6 is the best premium tank.  How about you give it 50 or 100 battles and report again?

I'm sure the IS 6 is good for the people who like that type of playstyle, more up front and brawling. But personally I'm partial for my Lowe and T34. Both for their different roles. Lowe is an excellent hulldown and very accurate sniper tank. T34 can peek like a champ but not so much a sniper as someone who can survive a few hits to the turret while delivering a lot of pain. The basic advantage of the IS 6 is it's armor, but now when everyone is either aiming or using prem ammo armor is not as important as it used to be.
