Over the past few weeks, I have really come to start enjoying this game and almost every aspect of it. I've made leaps and bounds when it comes to improving my win rate, efficiency, WN7, and WN8 ratings. I've broken through into my first tier 8, and have really been enjoying it (although my WR in it needs improving).

One of the few problems I have with the game, is that people just do not take me seriously with the amount of battles that I have. I'll constantly ask someone to do something in chat (something that is actually a valid tactic like supporting a certain area, or where to pen an enemy when they are having problems) and all I get in return is "shut the **** up scrub, you know nothing" or "you have 1k battles, you have no experience". Half of the people that tell me this are not much better than I am in terms of efficiency and WN7/8, with well over 7k battles.

My question is, when do people start to respect you by the amount of battles you have? I'm positive that the way my stats have been over the past two weeks, that I'll go nowhere but up... it's just my battle count that seems to be the high point of disrespect. Whenever I'm not in the game or busy, I'm studying tank weak-spots and tactics. I really am confident in myself as a player, and it's not that I take the disrespect to heart, I'm just curious.

Not to many more really, keep playing well and by 3-7k(depending on personal preferences) you'll get better reception :)

As far as battles alone goes, the only acknowledgment it usually get is the amount of time a person spend on the game (idk if you can put that as respect or not).

Stats on the other hand is where you get the respect, so focus on that more XD

I consider whether their point is valid regardless; typically people talking in game aren't contributing sadly though.

Edit: In terms of just listening to the order the only time that I would mindlessly act or argue what someone is suggesting is at the extremes. i.e: I'm likely just going to ignore a red (not orange, also my xvm is very lenient on reds/oranges and hard on purples) and going to consider a purple more thoroughly

Anywhere from 3,000 battles to 5,000 battles in my opinion, if your stats are good.

there's a dilemma with that statement.

who would you rather have, a tier 6 scrub with 4k damage in a tier 8 game, or a unicum who gets less than a thousand in a tier 8 tank in the same game?

i cant answer that question, tbh.

I really don't think that there are some people not stubborn enough in this game to listen to other people's advice, even if they do have recognizable statistics.

well honestly my stats overall are pretty close to yours, but my recents are about double yours. You are by no means bad, and I was once more scrubby than you. But the thing is, someone looks at your orange eff and assumes you suck, cause well, orange is kinda bad. And low battle count doesn't help either. After a certain amount of battles, one would be expected to atleast know a decent amount about the game. It's kinda like people's age IRL. The general assumption is that kids are immature and dumb, whereas adults are smart and other good things. There are obviously exceptions though.

People who know what they are doing rarely respect anyone because of the number of battles they have. Unless you are a reroll account (Experienced player starting a completely new account to drop the deadweight of their noob days), people generally respect you for your attitude and stats level. Until you hit 3-4k battles though, don't worry about stats. Just learn the game, learn how to play well, and learn how to deal more damage than your own tank's HP and your stats will go up on their own.

However, once you hit about 5k battles, I consider that somewhat experienced. Whether you are experienced at pwning or getting pwned is up to you and RNG.

You know what they say... "It's better to try and fail, then to never try at all."

Too bad the Fail:Success rate is absolutely terrible. lol

I love teamwork. Its a great feeling knowing that a smart team has communicated effective strategies to beat the enemy team. I loved it in Warcraft and I love it in WOT.

But, here's the thing - 9 times out of 10, in WOT, the person who asks me to do something is some parasitic scrub who wants to use me as a meat-shield he can hide behind. Or, worse, he's just some teenage troll getting his jollies by persuading teammates to sacrifice themselves while he jumps back into cover.

I've learned to ignore 90% of the "follow me!" messages I receive.

Likely as low as 3,000 if your stats are above average. I got the same response until about that amount. Now the only people that whine back to me are the potatoes or unicums because they can't be wrong, right?

The only times I'll ask someone to specifically do something, is usually when a flank is falling. It's just pathetic to see some of these people with green and blue ratings in XVM completely abandon a flank when it could be saved by the tank they are driving.

I've never respected battle count.

If you've got 10,000 battles, and your recent stats are still worse than mine, then all that means is that you're a really bad learner. If they're yellow, green, blue, or purple I listen to them. They're better than me. They know what they're doing.

I do mostly the same, but I've been platooning a lot since I joined a clan. However, I seem to do better without a platoon.
