Which one would win on equal terms?

I added a poll.

B1 is the worst tank in game in my opinion. The DW2 would probably win. Not saying the DW2 is good though.

The B1 would win because it actually has armour and a gun that can work, unlike the Turdwagen.

Probably the B1. I have a B2 and it's WAY better than the DW2. Guns are equally unimpressive, but B1 is a bit more mobile and has a bit better armor.

I wasn't impressed by the French line enough to get to the B1. I wasn't impressed by the DW2 enough to keep it or buy the VK30.01H once I ground through it.

So.... Bacon.

DW2 5cm L/60 + Around 20 Premium Rounds, 2000+ DPM with 130mm of penetration.   It is a threat, but when compared to a PzIII or VK20.01D, the DW2 is the worst tank that really can use the 5cm L/60 in the game.  Mostly because of it's mobility when compared to the Pz38na/PzII Luchs/PzIII M/VK20.01D.   As long as the DW2 has premium ammo at least enough for hard targets it can engage any tank it faces and harm it frontally.

B1 or B2 can not compare to that potential in short.

What your thought on DW 2 compared to B1 or B2?

B1/B2 better at absorbing fire, at the cost of being poorly armed.

DW2 better all around armored, B1/B2 have more obvious armor weak spots but DW2 vs anything with higher than 50mm of penetration the entire vehicle is a weak spot but vs anything lower it's pretty much bullet proof, but better potential in a long running fight personally, definitely if the 5cm L/60 is used, and the user is willing to buy some premium ammo to keep in reserve for vs heavier armored enemies.  Sadly Frontally is where the B1/B2 are superior armor wise... ^^;

Even with the 7.5cm HE spamming can be effective even vs tier 6 enemies.

Issue being though DW2 doesn't compare to the PzIII or VK20.01D they're still better all around vehicles with the same gun options.

The muzzle velocity on the B1s gun is horrid. I think the B2s top gun reaches farther though. You can angle the DW2 in ways you cant with the B1, also its turret, neck, and drivers port are weak as hell.

Its heavy armored but game treats it as a medium is what i was trying to say but i agree though the Matilda is a beast all of its own.

both sucks. b1 armor is a joke, the howitzer area can be penned by autocannons... hull armor is good only when sidescraping and even then why bother shooting the hull when the turret has plenty of weak areas?.

well to be fair many of the british tanks at first are hard to define as heavy/medium/light. since historically they were cruisers and infantry tanks. the crusader  was classified as a medium back in ww2 (the panther was classified as a heavy at first by the allies)

DW2 throw it away unless you want to grind straight to the heavy line.  Issue being you can jump to the heavy line by going the way of the PzIV, mean while having a blast using the tiny Pz38na getting the Panzer IV.  xD

Personally the Pz38na, PzII Luchs, PzIII M, and VK20.01D are better vehicles.  VK20.01D is actually far better in a frontal shoot out, has better gun depression and a far superior turret mantle.  Same frontal armor, better mobility on the VK20.01D, almost as good side armor.   Plus all the vehicles I just mentioned are also smexier.

just look at the Russian TD line. most of those tank destroyers were actually SPG's

The solution for both tanks is simple.

First, remove their pref-MM. Let them be in tier 6 matches like almost every other tier 4.

Give the DW2 the 75mm L/43 [103mm pen]

Give the B1 the 75mm SA44 [100mm pen]

There.

Done.

Both tanks are suddenly reasonably good overall.

This will alleviate:

1. How utterly useless both tanks are in tier 5 battles

2. How both tanks have a very hard time engaging lights, mediums, and TD's in their own tier

3. How astonishingly outgunned they are by almost every other tank in their tier.

The AMX 40 and the German tier 4 mediums are pretty much the only other ones to have similarly awful firepower.

The Matilda, Valentine, M3, Chi-He, Ke-Ho, and even several of the tier 4 lights kick their [edited]so hard its disgusting.

Speak nothing of the tier 4 TD's.

A B1 with the 75mm gun is a tier 6 match would be a LOT better than a B1 with the 47mm gun in a tier 5 match.
