Skirmish 10 marks the introduction of a new skirmish format.

Skirmishes now have three days of group play (Monday-Wednesday) followed by a playoff (Friday-Sunday). Teams can choose to play only in the weekend playoff or participate in group play for better seeding and greater prizing.

After completing group play, a standings table will sort all teams across all groups based on points earned against points possible. Prizes are awarded at completion of group play to teams finishing in the top half of the standings. These teams qualify for the Alpha Playoff. All remaining teams qualify for the Bravo Playoff.

Alpha Playoff

  • This playoff consists of the top 50% of group play teams who will play for a larger prize pool. Group play performance will determine playoff seeding.

Bravo Playoff

  • This playoff consists of all remaining teams and includes teams registering solely for the weekend. These teams will compete for a smaller prize pool and the playoff brackets are not seeded.

Both the Alpha & Bravo Playoffs will use multiple brackets holding a maximum of 16 teams. This means multiple winners are awarded prizing for their standing in their respective bracket.

Teams and players may only register once for the skirmish.

It won't let me start a team. It doesn't show the tiers or maps.

Everything is open and should be visible now. Let me know if y'all still have any problems.

What's the deal with making these tournaments week long adventures?  On occasion responsible people need to work late, work on finding mates, or treat our mates to a night out on the town without having to admit we need to head home early to kill virtual tanks.  I dig the competition, but moving to a 7 day format pushes me towards no longer wanting to support the game.  Some consistency in payouts versus time invested, dare I suggest a game/life balance, and competition would be fantastic.

If you sign up for bravo only you play Friday Sat and Sunday. And Skirmishes have always been 6 days and sometimes 7, which hasn't been changed in over 2 years. Except in this tournament if you play all the days you can now win 10k instead of the old 5k that had been being used. So basically more gold, same time as Thursday is a Tiebreaker only night so almost all wont play......we also are paying way deeper into the field then we have before making it worth more to everyone involved.

We also moved it an hour earlier.

If you're up for the dialog here I'd be interested in hearing how this will improve the tournament and/or skirmish community.  Where are we trying to improve the skirmish format at (number of teams/quality of teams/etc)?  What feedback has been received to influence the changes?

 Sure is

The tier points limit is at the top of the tournament page

and the Tier limit is the charts below it.

How does a player leave a team he doesn't want to be in anymore if the team has been submitted for approval and the captain won't agree or let you remove yourself?

Can we contact an eSports manager to have our-self removed from a team?

Also does WG have a teamspeak server we can join and talk to eSports managers?

Thanks in advance.

If anyone needs a member, I am available for the week long tourney. I have a wide assortment of tanks I can bring.

Are all tier 6 tanks allowed just 2 per same tank or are there certain tanks that are taken out

It allows for flexibility depending on your team's availability. How isn't this a good change?

Only want to play on weekends? Sign up for Bravo group. Whole week is good? Sign up for Alpha and earn more gold than before.

I, for one, am excited about these changes. The only wrinkle I see is that it means people have to be available to play on Sunday (for the finals) now.

At the top of the page it says this:

With a maximum of 9 players per battle, a team (maximum 12 players per team) must field a selection of tanks based on the below, maximum tier limits.

At the bottom of the page it says this:

A team must have at least 9 members to be eligible for participation in the tournament, with a maximum allowed 14 members.

Which one is it? And if we've already submitted a team and it doesn't comply with the 'correct' version of the rules will we be allowed to reform and add/remove players?

I agree that this is a nice format. I love to have a chance to earn gold. Also the flexibility is nice for our team.

I also noticed the 12/14 player limit. Which is it? I have 12 on my team now. Should I look for two more?

Another question. How long is group play each evening? It says 10 minute battles every 15 minutes, but how long does this go on each night? 1 hour?(4 matches)  --  2 hours?(8 matches)  --  etc.

Each team is allowed 5 reserves for a total of 14 players. If you have already submitted your team for approval and wish to add more players to your team, feel free to email us (tournaments@wargamingamerica.com) or PM me directly for assistance.

Please remember that Skirmish 10 holds a 2-week registration period. Games begin on March 17th.
