and how is it calculated, I can see that there are many factors involved from the tool-tip but there is no indication as to the scale or method of calculation.

Does anyone know?

Just totally ignore personal rating, its trash. It goes more on games played.

None, as the Personal Rating has a inherent flaw in its calculation. It considers number of games played in the formula which has nothing to do with any skill.

Efficiency, WN7, and WN8 are much better skill indicators than WG`s personal rating in my opinion. You can find these on sites like NoobMeter and WoTLabs.

Use this site to see your personal rating(Wn8):

http://wotlabs.net/

It also lets you see whats good and whats bad.

Hope this answers your question.:smiles:

if im not mistaken, that was taken out of how its factored a patch or 2 ago. it no longer lists games played as a factor in the description of the rating.

if I understand this correctly someone who started playing only after patch 8.8 will get a better personal rating than a person with the EXACT same stat but who played before 8.8.....

Don't sweat your stats too much just yet.  You have less than 1000 battles, that isn't enough time, generally, to even learn the game   mechanics well enough to do well.  Check your stats after 2-3k and hopefully they're improving.  Some of the purple guys had crappy stats for 5k+ battles before they figured it out.

Don't be too tough on yourself. This game has a crazy learning curve. Watch some videos on youtube and read some guides. All kinds of helpful material our there.

Good luck!

Honestly if I was in your position dont focus on stats. Focus more on learning game mechanics, map tactics. Strength and weakness of your vehicle. Im just [edited]'ing this statistic but I'd say 70% of doing well @tonks is map knowledge and mechanic knowledge. Anyone can point and click, hit a target

This. If you learn the mechanics, the stats will follow. OP, you're very early in your WoT career and you realize the need for improvement, which puts you ahead of 90% of the playerbase already. Just focus on learning and improving a little bit each time out.

Shower daily, brush your teeth morning and night time, cover you mouth when you cough or sneeze, always say please and thank you.

You'll get a good personal rating if you at least start with these suggestions.

I wish there's a rating in real life showing your skills and abilities.  Makes job hunting so much easier.

If I started an interview by saying I am a super unicum they would probably call security and throw me out.
