The Global Map will be frozen during a period of brief maintenance.

Dragon ridge is not on map rotations for quite a long time but it still is a clan war map? When will they do the same thing to that [edited] map?

We'll also take this opportunity to return Detroit to its natural state.

Detroit, Michigan  Ruinberg on Fire

I am not sure if I should laugh hysterically or feel offended that they are changing detroit to Ruinberg on Fire. I mean right now Detroit isn't doing so hot but I am pretty sure back in the day Detroit was a booming town. I guess either way this should be taken with a grain of salt.

Agreed

I haven't been to Detroit for nearly 20 years but it was close to it back then.

Cool - Question however, we got a patch today - what was patched or updated?

HA!  When I read "return Detroit to its natural state," I thought:  you mean high crime rate?  Then I scrolled down and saw listed next to it:  Ruinberg on Fire.  How appropriate...

Feel free to laugh, it was put in there as a bit of humor. We actually did acknowledge the value Detroit has had by making it one of the most high-paying provinces on the map. Even though it does have some issues in modern times, it's still a fairly important city in some aspects.

Just an update to the updater. Nothing for the game.

Don't bash the D, hundreds of millions being invested by the Ilitch family and Dan Gilbert's Quicken corporation have already transformed the downtown and more to come. Here is an older article talking about some of the changes coming, http://www.buzzfeed....ics-wrong-a104. Comerica Park and Ford Field are beautiful facilites (yes I know the Lions still stink), 3 top line gaming casinos downtown, a new hockey arena coming soon, fabulous theater district anchored by the Fox Theater, biking and hiking riverfront trail coming together, new state park on Belle Isle, excellent dining, the list goes on. We certainly aren't out of the woods by any means but are moving in the right direction. Time to rethink the stereotype.

Sorry, but no, it's not appropriate at all. Wargaming attempts humor for once and they come up with that? That's just in very poor taste. I can't believe they even went there.

It's offensive -- extremely offensive. I have no ties to Detroit at all, but to make light of that city's problems with your little map stunt shows that whoever thought it'd be funny and cute is a freaking clueless idiot.

I strongly suggest you change it back before people who don't think it's so cute get wind of it.

Dont get your panties in a wad. Settle down and try not to get offended about every little thing. Incessant crying or extreme sensitivity like this are a major issue with society in general and the United States specifically.

Chill

Clan Wars is back up, and the new maps are in. Have fun tonight, and those of you fighting on the new maps, I'd be interested to hear how your battles go on them!

It is indeed funny, and I'm glad Wargaming has begun to regain a sense of humor. (While you're at it, can we have the doghouses that bark when you run them over back?)

You do have to be careful though, the humor-impaired or exceptionally dull-witted may use this as an excuse for self-righteous posturing and criticism.
