Welcome to my Icon Mod, I am always open to feedback and suggestions! First and foremost, I am very new to this modding community and am still getting started, so let me know if you find any bugs.

Download: Druid's Icon Mod Version 2

I combined OTM OverTargetMarkers Forum post to my Icon Mod. This addition adds a healthbar and hitpoints bar that stays up including the vehicle icon, holding alt shows the player name and the exact hit points left on the tank. OTM also uses a combat scroll text that shows you what damage is being done to the tank.

If you would like to edit the OTM files, please download the OTM editor.

You will need adobe air installed to install the OTM editor. Get Adobe Air

Once Adobe Air is installed download The OTM Editor

http://www.deviantar...326-d46962l.png

Extract these files anywhere, copy the OTMData.xml and OTMEditor.air anywhere you would like, double click the OTMEditor.air and install the editor. Once installed click file and open a configuration file, use the provided OTMData.xml file and edit my xml file any way you would like. Once done, save the file and copy it to your res\gui\flash "Remember to backup your files" folder or if you use JSGME, copy the xml file to your MODS\Druid Icon Mod 1.14OTM\res\gui\flash folder.

If you would like to share your xml files, please post them on the website.

  • Alive: The text that shows while the tanks are alive
  • Dead: The styles that are show after the tank is destroyed

HELP! My InGame Tank names are missing after installing your mod!

http://www.deviantar...326-d3h8gv4.jpg

Tank Icon With Tank Names Removed

By default the ingame tank names and tiers have been disabled for my mod. If you would like the tank names and tiers turned back on like the picture below, follow these steps:

  • Go To C:\Games\World of Tanks\MODS\DruidIconModVerX\res\gui\flash
  • You will see (2) VehicleMarkersManager swf files, select and rename VehicleMarkersManager.swf to VehicleMarkersManagerold.swf
  • Now rename VehicleMarkesManager_AddTankNames and delete the _AddTankNames line, now unload the mod with JSGME and reload the mod
  • If you installed this manually without JSGME, go to C:\Games\World of Tanks\res\gui\flash and rename both files in that folder
Now you should be able to see tank names and ingame tier numbers.

Nice :) You should post better zoomed pix though as we don't see the icon at 100% resolution ;)

I will be adding a more zoomed in picture of the icons later today.

To manually install this mod, do the following...

Navigate to Games\World of Tanks\res\gui

copy and make a backup of the flash folder.

Navigate to Games\World of Tanks\res\gui\maps\icons\vehicle

Copy and make a backup of the contour folder.

Go into my Druid Icon Mod folder and copy the res folder into Games\World of Tanks and overwrite the folder

Doing this with JSGME, make sure for one that JSGME is installed into the Games\World of Tanks folder, go into JSGME click options and select make snapshot, now there will be a Games\World of Tanks\Mods Folder.

Extract the Druid Icon Mod V1 folder into the Games\World of Tanks\MODS folder, run JSGME from the World of Tanks folder and click the right arrow to add my icon mod to world of tanks, you should be good to go now, click the icon mod and left arrow to undo my mod.

Hope this helps everyone, using the JSGME application helps you add mods without worrying about making backups and is much easier to use.

OK I added higher resolution images, hope this helps, btw POGS, I love your work!

EVERYONE PLEASE PROVIDE FEEDBACK.

IS THE TEXT TO SMALL?
DO THE COLORS NEED TO BE CHANGED?
ANYTHING AT ALL HELPS, WHEN I WORK ON V1.1 later these coming weeks.

Preliminary V1.1 Patch Notes
  • Enlarge Text and shorten names, no need to know its a VK1602 Leopard, just Leopard will do.
  • Add Premium Icons to premium tanks
  • Change Light Tank Color from Light Green to Light Purple to help distinguish from medium tanks
  • Change tier font, I, II,III look like they blend together, using different font for tiers.
  • Expand Icon, for better recognition at longer distances
  • Setup icon mod for training room
  • Fix letter spacing on certain icons, that seem to have space

First post, don't flame me.

Ideas: there is another mod here called Br2yd4l's icons mod. I really like that mod, but it looks like the author is not updating the mod any longer.

Suggestions:
Arty - Purple
Heavy Tanks - Red
Medium Tanks - Yellow

This is basically like the other mod, since I am used to the colors. How about a 2nd version with different colors like those I listed above?

Personally, the green/light green is too close together for my tastes.

Your mod looks really good. I prefer the other colors.

Thanks for your time!

I installed and used them for 15 battles or so.

The text seemed to be a bit blurry, but maybe that's because I play at 1440 x 900.

Also, the gray color you used for the heavies seemed plain next to the other colors. It may sound weird, but it throws me off ingame when I'm glancing up to see what tanks are still left in the battle.

Other than that, I'd use this pack all the time.

I am increasing the font text size and looking to make it more clear, I am also changing all colors to the above legend, I want this icon mod to be clear to everyone, I am also looking to making the icon mods turn black when you hit alt and the tank is already dead, give me some time V1.1 is on the way!

Ok here is the proposed update legend, increased font size, changed tier font to be more clear, and completely changed the color scheme to be able to distinguish each tank.

http://www.deviantar...326-d3eb7t5.jpg

I would like some feedback on this before changing all icons, should I make the tank icons bigger? or is there size just fine?

Both look good, however the standard numbers are easier to read at a quick glance so I would go with them.

Okay, 10 games and a quick stop here.

Colors are bright and easy to read. Font is much clearer than the first version.

Altogether a nice pack. I'm sticking with it..:)

Great job and I look forward to more of your work.

Thanks I am currently working with flash so when the tank gets destroyed it turns black when you hold alt. It kills me when the tank is destroyed and you hold alt thinking it is still alive.

The icon for the Jagdpz TD is missing the P.  So the icon shows JAGDZIV.  Great mod!

Once I get a list of changes needed, I will work on v1.2, jagdpziv is noted, I removed the P to make the text fit, if you guys would like the P I can add it to th jagdpz.

No worries, just wasn't sure if it was a mistake.

Edit: one thing you may want to change in the JSGME instructions is, instead of clicking "options" it says "tasks" when you open JSGME.
