I got a questions.

I just started again with the Loltractor and after 2 battles I made enough XP to get the next tank, but not the credits.

What should I do, buy some of the upgrades to have a better loltractor for the upcomming battles? Or should I stick with the basic model and save credits to get the next tank?

The same questions goes also for the next few tanks, no upgrades and save some credits, or upgrade to be better at battles?

And no, I dont buy gold.

I think it's more of a personal preference, for me I buy for the upgrades and just continue playing the tank until I do have a nice little chunk o change saved up before I upgrade up to the higher tank.

I think u did not understand the question. its or upgrade and dont save, or NOT upgrade and save credits.

Point is, is it worth to spend credits to upgrade a tank to have a bit better tank for 1 or 2 games. I do not really know how big the effect of the upgrades is. And I rather dont spend credits just to find out that it isnt worth it.

I find it more rewarding to dont upgrade some tanks, because of the imbalance it gets you. Unupgraded tanks get lower ranking.

I use the elite teir 1 tanks to gain xp to upgrade my next tank useing free xp before I buy, its no big job to move up. Free double credits everyday help with the lower teir vehicles.

pretty sure that they removed module upgrades from match making, i could be wrong...so a stock tank is the same weight as an upgraded one.  when they tried to make modules count some vehicles ended up in battles where they were completely outclassed despite an upgraded gun or other modules.

Seriously upgrade the traktor and use it to earn credits, the upgrades are cheap and it does real nice when upgraded and will earn you more per match.

I didn't upgrade any tank until tier 4, then my upgrades were only what I needed.......If your in a Lolracktor then you'll get to tier 2 in 1-2 matches.....once your in a tier 2 you'll make it to tier 3 in 30 mins tops......no reason to waste your credits on the lower tiers.

EDIT: I do use Premium

Only problem with that is, if you play that way you will not be able to afford the tier 3 without buying gold.  If you aren't on premium you will have to spend some time building up credits and some upgrades will help.

Yeah, I didn't think about that since I use Premium.

In most cases it pays to at least upgrade the basics, tracks, better engine, better radio, better gun.

Doing so will enable you to do more damage in less time, giving you more xp/credits in the long run.

That is not to say if your not going to keep the tank that you have to unlock everything.
But by way of example, trying to move from the Hetzer to the Stug without upgrading tracks, motor, gun is an exercise in futility. That grind will take forever, and you will seriously hate the hetz when your done.

I like to upgrade all my tanks on the tree to Elite status before moving on to the next one... There are many reasons for this; first, you can often carry some of the researched upgrades from one vehicle up the ladder to the next vehicle. Second, I think it pays to work on tactics as you move up the ladder, and staying in a particular Tier longer helps me practice various tactics and work on new ideas over a number of games. Third, a fully upgraded vehicle is more competitive, and I usually enjoy playing it more as I feel I have more of a chance of both fighting well and surviving, so I'm often in no hurry to rush into being the lowest man on the totem pole again by virtue of climbing up to the next tier.

I don't think it makes much difference if you do the upgrades or not in the first three tiers really, but it takes so little time I don't know why you wouldn't bother doing it... You should be able to Elite an loltraktor in three or four games, for instance. At any rate, by the time you hit Tier IV, if you're not upgrading your vehicles, you won't be able to compete with other tanks on the field. Radios, engines, suspension and weaponry are all required upgrades in any tank from Tier IV on, imho...

My 2¢

Do you have a source? I have always been under the impression that your tank's tier is what matters.
