The Panzer I was the first armored vehicle that entered serial production in Post-WWI Germany. It was 1.72m high, 2.06m wide, 4.02m long and weighed 5.4 tonnes. It had a crew of 2, a driver and the commander. Its armor was between 7mm and 15mm. It mounted two 7.92mm MG-15s, and had a top speed of 50km/h on roads, and 37km/h off-road. It had a Krupp M 305 four cylinder air cooled gasoline 60 PS engine, which put out approximatly 59hp. It was used during the Spanish Civil war, and was later supplied to Spain by Germany. It also played a key role in the invasion of Poland, and served under Rommel in the Afrika Korps. It ended service in 1954, with about 1500 built. Spain also had over 100 Panzer Is, which were exported during the Spanish Civil War.

I am abstaining on this vote. The pz 1 should be either a tier 1 or 2 premium tank considering the current tank tree structure.

As I cannot vote for tier with without having it replace the loltraktor, I must abstain.

However, I think it should be included, be tier 1, and I would play it in clan practice if it were tier 2 and useful.

Right, a practice tank so you don't spend that much money on repairs and bullets.
The guns would have similar characteristics as the M2HB .50 Cal on the M2 Light tank, because it is a machine gun and not a cannon, like most of the automatic weapons mounted on the tanks in World of Tanks.

Did you make that or is that in the works or something because that would be epic.

Sweet thanks for the info but I have a question how is a PZ 1 = to a PZ II? PZ 1 had 2 water cooled machineguns firing 8mm mauser they would be ineffective.

The full German tech tree shows a Panzer 1 as a tier 2 tank that leads into the Panzer 1 Ausf. C and it ends there for that branch. Although I'm not sure how that will work because its anti tank capabilites were......

It is strange, I could understand the PzIC as a tier 2, but the PzIA and B would be ineffectual in their stock form, I've heard people say it will just be a scout but arty in tier 1 - 2 battles is non existent.

*shrugs*

I could see it as a low-tier premium.
The reason I think it isn't a starter is that it's way better than the traktor.
Better armor, sloping and probably a wider range of armaments and such.
They just chose 3 similar era tanks with similar stats and capability.

This, my friends, is world of fantasy tanks. Giving the panzer I a 20mm or 37.

Well the loltracktor and the gorbtracktor(whatever it was called) was really developed first but the panzer1 is the first tank the officially built.
The tracktors was little tractor and big tractor to conceal the real purpose.
But that is when the panzer1 came in with duel MGs(which was useless to tanks) to train the crew for future tank development.then the ausf. C came in having a auto cannon which is the only variant with anti-tank capabilities.
And don't forget that a A7V is also considered a tank which is even earlier than the loltracktor.
