There is a parent that needs to dole out the internet in half hour increments.  Give the kid no alternative but to go outside and meet real people (as opposed to the typical online troll, and trollish communities).  Take him places like the park, library, or other areas of activity nearby (national parks, etc etc).  Wean him off the internet.

16 loses in a row I have been close. Just kidding. At that point I quit for the day as I was not going anywhere with the game

I'd assume there is more leading up to this event. I mean as far as I understand the human mind, suicide isn't just caused by this poor level of mild frustration, there's usually a series of unfortunate events leading up to them.

Losing a girl,

Losing a job,

Failing a serious exam,

Death of a family/ close friend,

Getting robbed,

Or having any number of other indignities brought upon you.

Getting a blowout match at WoT just happened to be the final straw.

In situations like this the person most likely already had a pre existing condition. It could have been football, soccer, monopoly, etc. At any rate, hopefully the guy gets the help he needs, depression is a very serious condition.

Agreed, the kid sounds very unstable to go to that extremes.

The person has obvious mental heath issues. Losing the wot match was just the straw that broke the camels back, and there were a lot of other straws before that one.

Dunno much what I can say, although I know that sometimes I get mad enough to hit something, or throw my desk across the room...

But I think at some point with games and such anyone can get mad/frustrated, only difference is how they deal with it...

Me, well I don't really care if I break something, at least I'm not hurting myself or others, it's an inanimate object

XVM paint me red like mother russia :teethhappy:

But this mildly pisses me off. Mainly because the media is going to get everything mixed up and start blaming video games for the entire incident. Again. I'm sure the person had his personal reasons for taking the plunge, so to explain it just by saying "well kiddies, he jumped because he lost a little game," is really insulting to that guy, in a way.

Hope life gets better for you, Alex. I know how it goes. You're lucky to be alive. The article said you had other issues in life - I understand that sometimes it's the smallest things that make it all start crumbling down. Maybe once you get out of the hospital, it can be a new start for you. A lot of people want them, only a few of us ever get them. I wish I could say live gets easier once you turn 18, but unfortunately that is far from the truth. But with the age comes prospect. Hang in there, and get better soon.
