Certainly good work, though i think stuff like this somewhat goes against the spirit of the game. I dont think it should be used in normal matches, but training matches sure.

Then again, people are free to do whatever til the Devs say otherwise.

Lol really painted on critical hit zones. And I thought using the red/green/orange cross hairs made the game - well gamey. Gotta say this is exploitation imho if not just plain gay.

I don't see an issue with this because the hitboxes for the modules are in three dimensions inside the tank, so if you shoot at the 2D area painted on the front of the tank at an angle, there's no guarantee that you'll even cross through the internal module and get a critical hit. Good for training, and maybe for head on or side hits, but it just isn't the same as going through the game on your own and learning about an individual tank's vulnerabilities yourself.

Skins with weak spots/critical areas are not against the rules and is allowed. However, I'm sure you'll quickly find that they are only helpful for the few rare occasions when you're standing still, at close range, and able to hit the weak spots. Even then, it does not guarantee that you will damage a module.

There is already one skin pack out for this but it only includes high tiers and no American tanks. Good work tho.

I can litterally confirm this, also it tends to work only half the time while testing it on Tiger 2 and the American heavies.

These are like training wheels for new people.
Once you play enough and use the reticule these are obsolete and down right false advertising.
The hit boxes may have produced a hit, but at what angles x/y/z from the shooter. So he may have hit the ammo rack if he was here and he shot this way. The ammo rack hit box is somewhere inside the model floating behind that patch of color.
I have ammo racked a T44 driving by it full speed(in the opposite direction) with auto aim engaged. I'm pretty sure that is legal too.

To me, this sounds like utter exploitation.  In my opinion, anyone using skins which indicate a tank's weak spot, are cheaters, plain, simple and through and through.

This brings me back to the days of flying hackers who could shoot through walls in counterstrike.  This is an unfair advantage for the ones who use it against those who don't even know of its existence.  Is your K/D ratio THAT important to you?  Petty.  These skins with no doubt ruin the game for those not using them, it takes a degree of skill and the feeling of accomplishment out for the experience for sure.

It's one thing to use a has a game shark or cheat codes while playing a solo game.  Fine, cheat the A.I. if you can't beat the game as is but to implement such an advantage against other players trying to grind or simply enjoy themselves is unethical.  I seriously doubt anyone here would react kindly if their IS was one-shotted by a t-34/85 if they knew its driver shot the big red dot painted over the IS' ammo rack.

These skins should not be allowed, period.  I mean, come on guys, isn't half the fun LEARNING how to defeat more powerful tanks? For those who use this cheater's method, I would be ashamed, if I were you.

Ashamed.

Silly human.

Let's see if we can make sense of this terrible subject. New people arrive and get their butts blown away in nearly every game. New people get mad and leave great tank game. Why? People want attention. They want to win. They need a LOT of help in WoT. It is an arcade game that is subtle in its complexity.

In WoT there are an easy thousand factors newbies can't get right away. Heck, just control that adrenaline rush. A hack is inflicting your control into their code. Showing people where to aim is not a hack, it is a gift. Just because I know where to aim does not mean I automatically win every battle. WoT is not linear (except for that rotten match making code)

Help people enjoy WoT or watch WoT suddenly disappear 'cause 300 people means no profit.

Just seems like you suck at this game so hard you'd use any advantage possible. It does feel against the spirit of the rules rather than the letter.

this seems kinda pointless to me.  sure it may help new players, but critical hits are as much about luck as where you aim.  also, if these are meant for newbies why are all the vehicles T6 and up? shouldnt there be ones for all the T1-5s? plus the hitboxes are 3d inside the tanks, so you have to be perpendicular (or very close)  to the front, rear or side of the tank for this to work correctly...then you have a chance of damaging/killing a module assuming a penetrating shot.   really the best way to figure out where to aim to do most damage is to play the game...it isnt hard to figure out where to shoot to take out the gun, engine etc...this game has enough handicaps and training wheels to begin with. we dont have to judge fall of shot, targets are visible with an outline even when the view is 100% obstructed, 3rd person camera view, penetration indicator...

it makes much better sense to play the game with some good looking/historical/funny skins and take some lumps learning the ropes than look at this multi-colored disaster.  to me this borders a cheat, but to disallow these would disallow all skins i imagine (how could they check). if people use them whatever, but these border completely useless to me. to be honest i don think that this will help newbies anyway.  real game experience helps to learn critical game mechanics.  to me this is more of a crutch than a real aid.

i dont mean to be harsh since im sure this has taken some time and effort to develop...just what i think.
