Got a question ,in skirmish 16 we started almost every battle on the same end of the map is this going to happen during this battle? Please alternate the start points I think it would be fairer .

I just realized I posted a tournament question in the wrong topic.

I need an experienced or official answer:

Does the tier point spread mean that one can have (3) tier 6 heavies plus 1 or 2 filler?

Is that typically what happens (I should expect to see 3 KV1S tanks +) ??

Thanks

Correct, Hawk. It's up to you and your team how you choose to employ 23 points. Battling with 3 KV1s and splitting the remaining 5 points between 1 or 2 tanks is viable.

With 23 points you can run three tier 6s and a tier 5. KV-1S's and Hellcats will probably be used a lot. There are other compositions that can be run, but the maximum number of tier 6s that can be used is 3.

Thanks for the quick answers....

My sons and I are thinking about it seriously: KV1s, T34-85, (Jackson or M6), (Luchs or M8A1) and T1.

Unfortunately, none of us could get the hang of the Hellcat enough to have a decent WR or that "good" feeling.

Does that sound even remotely viable?

That's not too bad of a lineup. Neither the Jackson and M6 don't really bring much to the table, so I would consider putting another KV-1S in that slot instead. I've never played the T34-85, so I don't know whether it will be good or not.

the M6 actually has great armor and a hellcat gun, but with higher RoF... but i would use it selectively. 34-85 has nothing going for it. the jackson could be used, but unless you really know what you're doing, i would stick to mostly hellcats and KV-1ses. they are the easiest to perform in.

The gun is pretty great, but the armor won't hold up against the guns that will be shooting at it. A KV-1S shooting standard ammo can go straight through an M6, not to mention using gold rounds. For this tournament, I think the Hellcat is the best tank to use if you want to bring the 90 mm gun. I agree with you that KV-1S's and Hellcats will likely be the bread and butter of this tournament.

Thanks again for the input. I am trying to balance what we had already with the best crews and my team member's WR and confidence in those tanks.

It seems like in my small experience and looking at the vehicle stats that the KV-2 might be viable for this map, making a possible team composition something like: KV2, KV1S, T34-85, a tier 4 TD and a T1.

Thoughts?

That lineup could work. I think swapping the T34-85 out for a Hellcat would be better. The KV2 is hit-or-miss with its long reload and reliance on RNG, but it could turn out to be a monster.
