In continuing our recognition of Military Appreciation Month, these great bundles are each linked to a specific charity. Details inside!

It is a good idea to link these to charities, first time I am giving content_wg a +1. But are we ever going to see some weekends/events with rarer tanks? I know the KV-5 comes out every so often, but any other tanks?

Do the last four "big" bundles also give some proceeds to charity? The Gift Shop listing doesn't mention any.

Of course you know which one I'm going to buy. They might even have named it after me, based on my past practices. :veryhappy:

No. Only the small ones.

Nice job WG!:great: Honestly, I would be more apt to purchase some of these bundles if 50% of the proceeds went to these charities. I understand WG doesn't have to give any charity at all, I think it's wonderful you guys support vets. I just think nowadays with so many veterans and their families in need, that 50% of the proceeds would help so much more. WG could use it as a hefty tax write off. In the small town I live in, we, the community, all chipped in our time, money, and resources to build a young man (only 23) a house so that he could live well and independently after losing both of his legs in Iraq. I greatly believe in communities pulling together to help, and we are, even online, a community. Do this please WG, and I will purchase several of these bundles (mostly as gifts, I have enough gold/creds).

Again, thank you, good job!:honoring:

I appreciate the charity bundles, although I would have preferred a more gold-heavy bundle [spending money on credits seems like a waste]

This is really nice.  Do this on occasion.  Unfortunately I bought a ton of gold already.

Just an FYI, lieutenant general is actually a higher rank than major general.

Way to go. I am a Canadian vet of 30 years service.  It would be nice to see some of the contributions going to the Canadian veterans affairs. I will be spending my pension on this event and supporting the USA veterans.

I was just about to post the same thing.  We have a decent Canadian player base and many worthy military charities to support.

We were looking at the Military Families Fund again, but apparently they didn't get back to us.

Spoiler

So I was going to buy the Major General Package so that $46.37 would be donated between the charities -- as the written even as highlighted above stated. However as The_Chieftain so kindly just informed us:

No. Only the small ones.

ONLY THE $22.99 PACKAGES GO TO CHARITY.

It may not be my place to say, but putting SOME bundles that ARE going to charity and others that ARE NOT going to charity all on the same advertisement makes the event seem quite misleading. The announcement makes it appear as if all eight bundles are in fact charitable donations. If what you say is true about how only 4 of the 8 advertised packages are in fact going to charity, when the description clearly indicates -- or at least heavily implies -- that "25% of the proceeds from each bundle will go to the associated charity  -- or you can get the bundle where it goes to all of them!" seems to me to be fraudulent and or misleading advertising. Had I not of read this forum thread I was considering purchasing the largest of the bundles so that all four charities would get $11.59, instead of the mere $5.75 to each organization individually or worse than that $1.43 individually if the all charities bundle was chosen, however now that I know that those latter bundles are in fact 100% wargaming profits and not at all charitable I will not be purchasing a misleading package.

The way the advertisement was laid out just seems really slimy, especially to the average user who does not use this forum as much as a person like myself does. I would consider making it more explicit on the advert itself that NOT ALL THE PACKAGES GO TO CHARITY, else it does seem to be fraudulent advertising.

Sincerely,

A concerned member of this community.
