No. Don't like arty then play EBR and kill it. That is the main redeeming quality for wheeled tanks.

Easier said than done. After the artillery nerfs a few years back, it's now almost impossible to get a one-shot kill on anything equal or higher tier than yourself, basically. You'll hit them for 80% of their hit points at most, then they'll come toast you with HE. Gotta love how 90mm HE hits artillery for full damage, while 155mm artillery shells against 20mm light tank armor do 2-300 damage on a good day. They definitely need to rework the physics model in this game. I've hit EBRs repeatedly with high caliber TDs and heavies, and they just shrug it off..."critical hit" and a bent wheel, and they still roll merrily away at 50mph.

Explain the Lefh and Sexton 1 sales lol

After the nerfs these are much less effective vehicles than they used to be. The Lef used to be insanely overpowered. The Lef is still a [edited]because of it's rate of fire, but it aims so slowly that unless you've got alot of dopey people sitting still, it's hard to hit much. Also, no stun and almost no splash. Same with the Sexton. I find low tier artillery to be fairly painful, most of the targets are small and fast-moving, and it's really hard to hit anything, even with high-skill crews.

A rarity,  I one-shot a full-health Tier VIII EBR with my bottom tier KV-2 derp gun.  It is cool.  Video link is below.  This ammo-rack happened at 8:20 in-game time.

My Bishop and Grille love the taste of the AMD 178Bs and EBRs.  MMMmm, crunchy.  You should see the owl pellets they leave behind.  All that rubber makes a pretty nasty pile.

I am not afraid to meet them head to head.  I've taken down several of them, even in my 'helpless to stop them' SPGs.  Yum!  I especially enjoy that they are uptier from me.  More HP per ounce.  Gotta meet those dietary needs of a predator.

Had an EBR 105 race through our team on El Halluf straight towards me in my T-92.

I 1 shot him, to the surprise and glee of my teammates.  Unfortunately he was 1 shooting me at the same time.  Lol.

Because you don't need to understand half the game mechanics (or even know they exist) to be able to 1 shot anyone.

The majority of Arty units cannot 1 shot anyone, unless the get extremely lucky, or happen to be an 8 playing in a 6 match. Even then it's rare.

Actually you're more likely to one shot people in the tier 5-7 range. T 67, Chaffee, Leopard, ELC and similar can all be one-shotted, even at level tier. Also most artillery can be one-shotted by other artillery since their hit points are artificially low. One shots at lower tiers are even more possible, but actually hitting anything at lower tiers is much harder. M44, GW Panther, Hummel, FV304, M43, are devastating with high skill crews, gun laying drive and rammers.

Speaking about one-shotting though, I remember the old days well, when a T 92 would drop an AP shell right through the top of your T-10, which happened to me.

if someone is a "skilled player" and doesn't like artillery then I would draw the conclusion that that person is not a good player.

a good player should play every tank class well, and should not complain about other tanks being overpowered.

if you are above tier 6 and complaining about artillery then you are not a good player.

artillery has been nerfed so much that it is clearly the weakest and most vulnerable tank in the game and helps identify who is a crybaby / snowflake.

Generally I like to avoid these types of posts, but did you actually read what you wrote?  Ignorance is bliss I suppose.

There's a large difference between being good at something and how much you "like" something.  The two aren't mutually inclusive.

"Like" or "dislike" does not directly translate to "overpowered" or "underpowered".

If you are going to attempt to be insulting with buzzwords like snowflake/crybaby because someone likes something you don't, or dislikes something you do, at least be logical and not triggered to insults because someone dislikes something you happen to like.  It's unbecoming behavior of someone capable of rational thought.

I don't consider myself a "great" arty player.  I do however, play arty well enough to complete all SPG personal missions in personal mission 1.0 and 2.0.  I was able to complete the Union and Alliance specific artillery missions for the 279e.  So I guess that makes me at the very least competent in SPG's.  I have my own opinions about where SPG's fit in the game and rarely voice any of my opinions but the most modest of changes that make sense to me, but I DO NOT enjoy playing SPG's.  Does that make me a bad player overall?  I play them well enough to earn every available reward vehicle including the 279e, which at the moment, some would argue is the precipice of accomplishments you can achieve outside of clan wars.

It's not next level thinking to understand that people might dislike something you like. People have different tastes and opinions.

Necroed threads, ugh.

The term "artillery player" can results in muddled thinking. Take me for example.  Playing tanks and TDs is more enjoyable than SPGs.  SPGS are occasionally played for variety. Hence my overall playing arty play percentage is around 20%.

Call me an "artillery supporter."   I want arty in games when playing tanks or TDs.  More is better.  On the whole, arty makes the game more dynamic and complex. And more fun.  In general, games without arty are simpler and less fluid. My taste and my opinion.

So am I an "arty player"?
