You have 7 options, 5 of which consider artillery bad in its current form, and have used the results to conclude people, particularly the most skilled don't like arty.

And you can't see a problem with that?

Spin away, oh intrepid one.

  • If there were 1000 "Remove Artillery" options, people would still only vote for one of them that best represents them
  • I didn't make anyone vote for anything. If they liked it more than they said they did, they should have voted differently
  • 5 votes could result in artillery sticking around. 3 without any major changes
  • I'm not the one spinning, I tried to give a vote option for every possible opinion bucket

Arty sticking around doesn't mean anything. It is already GUARANTEED that arty will not be removed. What matters is whether or not people like arty in it's current form AND mechanics.

You should have expanded the definition of overhauling.

For example you can change soft stats such as accuracy and aim time.

You can also change how the overall arty mechanics work.

You can have people feeling perfectly okay with the stats arty has such as armor while not liking the mechanics of arty and inversely it is also true.

Arty cannot carry, it's to RNG dependent.

I wasn't asking people what they think would happen. I was asking what they'd like to see happen to artillery. How they feel about them. What WG will and won't do with them is immaterial to this opinion. I do not believe any of us could come up with a description of overhaul that we all would agree with. You're welcome to try though (and I do not mean that sarcastically), perhaps you'd feel better about the results if you did. As it stands, linear was fine for this as there is a linear relationship. Running polynomial's returned something very much approximating the linear result. I felt the poll was fair, it made no attempt to siphon people into a bucket I preferred (and in fact, given one option that kept artillery was weighted at 6, if anything would have worked against my bias rather than towards it). The sample size is large enough at a ~1,000,000 population estimate to have acceptable margins of error and confidence.

I'm fine with the effort and am surprised anyone would have ever disagreed with the conclusion even without it. I'm much more interested in discussing why it's true than pretending we're going to get a different result from that with any other effort to measure it.

Linear is fine? Is why most of the graph the votes are pretty much split at the extremes and you just slaps on a linear line just because towards the end the amount of sample size decreases SIGNIFICANTLY and trends upward?

Arty is too luck base and promotes camping. It was a mistake adding SPG into the game while a off map bot control Arty strike can still do the same thing.

Except off map arty cannot be countered or scouted.

I haven't because I don't like it when I GET ONE SHOTTED/BOMBED BY AIRPLANES and worst of all.... drive around on a huge map for 5 minutes only to be one shotted by a camper.

You don't get planes in arcade mode and no invisible tanks.

There is also no tank outlines like in WOT and camping is very effective since being penned is instant death.

Yes, it's fine. I've run the polynomial and it's a near linear result. The sample sizes do not decrease so substantially as to have a dramatic effect. You're talking a 4% difference between the two extreme (16.58% vs. 20.53%) ends. Sure, the 9 vote is only 7.25%, but you have double digit percentages in every other category. Least squared runs do not show some unrecognizable result compared to a linear run. I'm fine posting the polynomial graphs if you'd prefer them, but they're not going to appear different enough for it to have been worth the effort.

How about you go play whatever that is and I'll enjoy WOT at the meantime.

Right clicker, please enjoys your unrealistic broken class which would ruin WOT.

Research shows bad players like arty, and that forum trolls can't/won't read.

Level of surprise to be had in this thread is none.

We will bring you more news, at 6.

Yea WoT has REALLY suffered in the last 3 years.  You know, because arty was JUST introduced.

facts:

there are 4 million+ registered users.

there are 400,000+ active users with over 500 battles.

there are less than 10,000 unicums.

there are over 3 million "yellow/orange/red" players.
