Standings Page

Basic Tournament Information for Skirmish 18:

Please see tournament page for all information

  • Team Size: 6 combatants + 3 reserves
  • Map: Airfield
  • Mode: Standard
  • Tier Point Limit: 44
  • Tier Limits:
    • This represents the max tier allowed. Teams are allowed to bring lower tiers.
    • Light: Tier 8
    • Medium: Tier 8
    • Heavy: Tier 8
    • TD: Tier 8
    • SPG: Tier 8

Skirmishes now have three days of group play (Monday-Wednesday) followed by a playoff (Friday-Sunday). Teams can choose to play only in the weekend playoff or participate in group play for better seeding and greater prizing.

After completing group play, a standings table will sort all teams across all groups based on points earned against points possible. Prizes are awarded at completion of group play to teams finishing in the top half of the standings. These teams qualify for the Alpha Playoff. All remaining teams qualify for the Bravo Playoff.

Alpha Playoff

  • This playoff consists of the top 50% of group play teams who will play for a larger prize pool. Group play performance will determine playoff seeding.

Bravo Playoff

  • This playoff consists of all remaining teams and includes teams registering solely for the weekend. These teams will compete for a smaller prize pool and the playoff brackets are not seeded.

Both the Alpha & Bravo Playoffs will use multiple brackets holding a maximum of 16 teams. This means multiple winners are awarded prizing for their standing in their respective bracket.

Teams and players may only register once for the skirmish.

dance210, i have a question.

my team only wants to participate in the bravo play off (only weekend), so what's the gold payout and how many matches do we play on the alpha and bravo play off on May 16.

http://worldoftanks.com/uc/tournaments/872-Skirmish_18/registrations/846-Register_your_team_for_the_bravo_playoff_only/

in this link for bravo playoff only, it reads "

  • A team must have at least 10 members to be eligible for participation in the tournament, with a maximum allowed 14 members.

however in this tournament, it says 6 players and 3 reserves....how are we gonna fill up at least 10 members if the max is 9?

note: in the alpha registration, it says

  • A team must have at least 6 members to be eligible for participation in the tournament, with a maximum allowed 9 members.

also the last day to register for bravo is 15th while alpha is 11th?

Prizes for the Bravo playoff are listed on the tournament page. 1st place pays out 2,500 gold, with prizes decreasing.

On May 16, teams participate in one round of the playoffs, whether they are in the Alpha or Bravo playoff. The exact number of matches varies, but teams may play no more than 10 per round.

Playoffs are if you lose one round, then you are out of the tournament.

Each round is made up of several matches - the winner of the round is the first team to three victories.

So any thought on ideal setups. I sense a lot of auto loader heavy teams myself. AMX 50 100's AMX 13 90's  n such otherwise maybe some 110's.

basically this is a team battle but without 2 tier 1s and possible a tier 4.

Well that's what I based my thoughts on regarding the AMX's. I was hoping for a more specific answer.

Any team that registers for the Bravo playoffs will play in the Bravo playoffs.

The top 50% of teams from the group stage (entire week registration) will play in the Alpha playoffs. The bottom 50% of teams will play in the Bravo playoffs.

Must all team members be online at the same time, i.e. 6 regulars + 3 reserves?  I have a commitment that will keep me until about 11 pm, after which I am able to engage.  In other words, I wouldn't be available for the first stage for about 1 hour on the 16th.

Would these circumstances cause me to be declined as a reserve member?

Thanks and cheers!

No, not everyone has to be online at the same time, that's why there are reserves. On that note, please make sure you have a team that will actually show up, because having to face undermanned teams and no shows sucks the life out of these tournies.
