so I was wondering how you guys played Wot. Like do you play with friends (real friends and your side by side on computers). Do you wear like WW2 helmets or even a modern tank helmet when you play? Do you have your sound hooked up to a surround sound system and crank it up?. Do you hook your PC up to the TV and play it on big screen?

[Edit] When I play with my friends. someone drives and someone shoots. Its complicated but its like a tank crew and not a one man band lol

Just some thoughts.....any thoughts?

I play at a desk on a custom built gaming rig. I play with some clan members on occasion but mostly play by myself. I use a creative Xfi USB sound card and some cheap desktop speakers. Big screens look like crap up close so I use a 23 inch 1080 LCD monitor.

I play side-by-side with my best friend, who just so happens to be my wife. She's pretty good with tanks as well as being a beautiful distraction. If I'm not paying attention to the map, now you know why, lol.

I play on a laptop on my dining room table, with a keyboard and mouse, and a headset for the sound.  Usually chatting on TS with my clan, whether or not I am platooning. Some of my clan-mates are real-life friends, but most are people I only know online

OP, that's an interesting idea, dividing up the driving and shooting.  Twenty years back, my buddy and i used to do that while playing X-Wing on his 486 PC; one would fly+shoot and the other would be R2-D2, sorting repairs and power to weapons, shields and engines.

Don't drink and drive, you're the source of all potato players.

Obviously can't afford a hi resolution big screen then ;)

I use a touch screen, and just use 8 fingers (4 from each hand) to play the game.. it's awesome to play like this if you want to be totally useless.

I prefer to play with friends as playing and getting beat on Solo just isn't fun.

I run sound mods to help with my immersion experience, especially ones that alter the voices of the crew to add senses of urgency or accomplishment to their voices instead of the lack of emotion the original ones have.
