Make a 10-30 minute period where after you make a topic, you cannot make another. This way spammers cant spam up the forums with their nonsense.

But some people may have good ideas in their mind, that they'd wish to publish while they're thinking about it...MORE Than one idea...Not everyone spams.

While you are indeed true, it does not mean they have to make another topic, simply make a topic discussing two topics, or more, so that would can maximize answers to your questions. Or you could wait for 20 minutes and make another thread...

But for the most part I agree, some people just need the reminder that they are spamming and should take a break from spam-poasting

It's just a shame that it's necessary.  (I can imagine that some of these forum-spamming-dopes are some of the same folks who stink it up in-game as well.)

Because clearly the number of replies or posts you have made must mean you spam a lot.  Not like there are threads in OT that are up in the 1000+ page marks with tons of discussion and replies.  Nah, must be spam.

How cool. When I signed up for WoT, my Thinkturd T69 couldnt handle WoT, so I went on the forums. Until I got a decent computer, I went on the forums and learned how to become better (I actually am improving), and ended up making some good friends. Also, it's 19k. Learn to count please.

So your suggesting, an automated defacto moderation technique?

 

Or even perhaps a time-delayed censorship mechanism?    How interesting.   Apparently we all must suffer and lose speech, because some one got butt hurt over something someone posted on the forum?  I don't think even the MOD's would approve of that even.

 

I would give the MOD's credit for being smart enough to realize that one.

Lose speech? What speech?  Free-speech doesn't exist on a forum.  If the medium of communication is not taking public funds (ergo, tax money) then it is a private institution and can enforce whatever rules it sees fit.  But I digress, bad apples spoil the whole bunch, as it were.  There are hundreds, if not thousands of forums that employ this same type of measure and it works just fine on those forums.  No one complains about it.  In fact, this forum is one of the more lax forums I've seen in regards to games.  Implementing a 5-10 minute multi-topic restriction won't harm anyone.
