M4(105) is better against T5 than the M4A3E8 is against T6, I'd agree.

Bottom line, I'm in X tank and I see around a corner a medium tank coming at me, the T-34/85 or VK36 are going to give me much more pause than the E8 will,

Pretty much this. My current main tank is a T-28 and I can take down E8's with relative ease. The VK 3601 and T-34-85 I leave alone. They will bounce my shots and one-shot me in kind. The vaunted speed of the M4A3E8 does not keep me from following it with my turret, nor does it prevent me from tracking it which invalidates its supposed advantage.

Easy 8 is a multi-role tank. Sits in a bush to do damage over time well, turns on a dime and has good power to weight ratio for flanking. Good at both, not perfect for either. This tank requires a new strategy every match.

While game is starting you have to look at enemy and check what they have.
E8 I find is up against some real good tanks, KV3 you will do nothing, T29 you will annoy before another tank finishes you off. IS3 will eat you for lunch. Meds like the VK36 will rip you apart. Heavy TD's will one shot you. Its not easy in an Easy8.
You can circle tanks but be aware if you take too long enemy help will take you out.
A lot of times even your HE will not do any damage,
The M4 carries the 105, the M6 carries the 90mm, the T20 after has the 90mm.This tank needs to carry a better gun or make it so it does not enter battles where it is totally out classed by 3/4 of the other team. In a line up it is placed higher than tanks that rip it to pieces. When playing now if I see a few E8's on the other team I think we have a better chance of winning.I find the M4 more able to handle itself than the paper E8.
Ok, now that I have placed it at the bottom of the heap, why do I keep it?
The bloody thing is just fun...a few nights back I ran out of shells...71!!
Just kept way back and peppered IS3, KV3, and T29 with HE and shot, annoy the the crap out of them while my team wiped them up.I got no kills half my hits did nothing but its fun.
If you get to be top tank (very rare) you can rake in some xp, most kills I have is 6.
But normal is 1 or 2 kill and you are blown to bits.

Well, its fully upgraded. And i love it. but besides the faster gun, i dont see a change in playstyle between the m4 and Easy 8. I was going to stop at the Easy8, but now i have my eyes on the t20, though i intend to keep both shermans, and i doubt the t20 would be as fun

Ok fully upgraded I've used this tank to make people rage quit. My best match ever was 2k exp, 50k creds. In that match I got a mission kill on a tiger 2, (crippled his movement and shooting ability), put a round into a KV-3's fuel tank burning it to the ground, and surprising a T1 (Fatally) that underestimated me.

The Tiger 2 actually quit when I completed my flanking movement through the town rather than face my HE 76mm Machine Gun (no other way to describe it) again with our heavies knocking on the valley door. I racked up two other kills firing from cover positions I had gained with my speed and agility.

There are only two things to remember in this tank, You can't take more than two hits and They don't know there's only one of you with your gun firing that fast. I have more often than not made Heavies think twice about coming down my way through sheer volume of fire. If you take this tank brawling you'll get nowhere, wait until you have a solid opening to exploit and then cause merry hell in the enemy rear area.

Hands down the most fun tank in the game for me.

This tank is on crack when fully upgraded, that's all I have to say.

Yeah im starting to really learn its style and i love it. I prefer the easy 8 over the m4 now just because of the gun and the upgrades i have in it, but the m4 is classic so i still keep and play it

So far I'm back to the M4A3 specced out stabilizer and vents.  Not sure what to do for the last addon, maybe the gun drive or optics.  I prefer it in many ways to the M4.  The M4 is fun in its own way though.  The 105mm means it can about damage any tank at least a little.  The m1a2 is a good gun and all, but sometime it just lacks damage.

I think you're better off vents, stabilizer, optics or gun drive than you would be with the rammer on the m1a2.
The difference in speed for the m1a2 gun is really small with the rammer.
I think I'd get more benefit out of the drive or optical coating myself.

The 105mm absolutely needs the rammer though.  No question about that.  Especially since it can't even use the stabilizer.

Rammer

Rammer reduces loading time by 0.3s. It makes sense for you only if you knife-fight all the time. I think I would go for something else.

I have vents now and will get stab. Not sure what the third module will be yet.

+1. What he said. I'm shooting 63% with the M1A2, with a lot of those on the run. It isn't a toe tp toe slugger, but it'll hurt just about anything out there...

You have the M1A2 in this game? Heck with that tank I'd be shooting 100%> Nothing could ever beat you. How did you get it??? :Smile_honoring:

Hmm, hopefully i didnt waste money, Im running rammer, stabilizer and vents, suggested replacement for rammer? This is my all around tank. Love to run around and flank, but i use it to escort heavies sometimes and play peek a boo as well.

Ez8 is a great all rounder tank once you get the upgrades for it. Its fast, agile, and the gun is really good.

Ive found that its not as good straight up slugging, or sniping as others. It however does have the ability to do both roles as needed. A good tactic is to wolfpack. Roll just behind your heavies or with a group of mediums. When you come up against an enemy look to pop around the other tanks to fire off some quick shots. The gun zeros in very quickly and has enough penetration that you can inflict damage on just about any tank out there.

Well I don't play peekaboo so much as that butthead at long range lobbing a round every 3-4 seconds from your flank...

But Rammer is still a good investment on an Easy 8, the thing is, thats a quarter of a second. It doesn't seem like much but it can very definitely save your bacon at times.
