Are you tired of default tank contours, that tells you basicaly nothing about it, except for the tank contour itself? Try my custom contour icons, with them you'll not only have a brand new colored and tiered vehicle names, but also XVM - which means nice floating dmg numbers, custom health bars and more....The mod is in developement since WoT's closed beta back in 2010, and is one of the first icon mods ever created. The purpose of it was to replace ugly, and useless contour icons in favor of colored vehicle names. With my icons you can have much better battle awareness, than the others players who uses default set. You can identify enemy vehicle class with a blink of an eye, you will never be supriced like you can be with built-in icons.

How to install:
1. Unzip and copy everything to WoT's folder
2. If you want to see clanicons, you have to download desired version and unpack to WoT directory
3. Download and install required fonts from here. Otherwise you may see colorfull squares instead of vehicle names, stats and symbols.
4. Launch the game and go to Settings - Game Tab - uncheck: Show vehicle tier
5. If you want to see statistics and the other stuff (like on my screenies) follow this guide.

Changelog
v2.7.3
- new feature: wn6 efficiency marker
- clanicons fix

Spoiler

FAQ:
Q1: What are those red and green square markers at the health bar?
A1: These are stock turret indicators. Green marker means stock turret with top gun possible to mount, red marker means stock turret, top gun is impossible to mount.

Q2: I see many numbers and stats on TAB and durring battle loading screen, please explain them.
A2: Example of "1h 44%  10k 700 50%". The player has played at least 100 battles (1h = 100) on current vehicle, 44% vehicle win ratio, played 10k battles totaly, has 700 WN6 rating and 50% global win ratio. The numbers are colored dynamicaly, starting from red as worst stat, thru green, and ending on purple as very high stat. Missing stat means either the stat server hasnt processed the player yet, or is overloaded.

Q3: What means those stats with ALT key pressed?
A3: Over a health bar you have a total battles count, player efficiency and global win ratio, to the left of hp bar is vehicle tier number, to the right of hp bar is vehicle win ratio, and under a hp bar is that particular player'svehicle average damage.

Credits goes to:
- br2yd4l for the very initial icon version back in closed beta
- Crabtr33, Pottulaari and RyuOgi for actively supporting me with new ideas and such stuff
- The XVM team for creating such amazing tool
- chesss from ru server for his ammorack explosion icons

A truly epic remake of a truly epic icon mod.  Shadow looks fine to me in the screenshot.

+1

I'd like to see what the font RussellSquare would be like instead of the font used.

I will try out the pack as currently implemented to see how the shadow really looks, but I think shadow is a good idea. Will help a lot with the different backgrounds to make sure the text stands out (thinking of green light tanks on a green grass background).

So, it may just be coincidence, but my first battle with this icon pack and I killed 8 vehicles and got my first Top Gun on my SU-100. So, this is now my favorite icon pack!!!

As far as the shadow goes, it really isn't noticeable at all in a battle. I had to really look to see it and it fits it with the shading on the left/right tank lists anyway. I wouldn't worry about changing it.

Nice one Skotic! I'm glad that the icon pack helped ;)

Btw. Icons updated, please report which icons are overlapping, so I will fix them too.

There were icons overlapping? Are you talking about the text of the icon overlapping in to player names? If so, that was a known issue with Br4yd3l's version. I think it happens with other people's icon packs too when a player has a long name.

Also, I like your sig. Does it automatically update or do you have to update it manually? If it is automatic, how do you go about making it? Thanks.

I'm talking about the icon overlapping into player scores/names, hopefully fixed now.

Speaking of my sig: http://wot.zipek.cz and yes its updating, only once daily.

Updated to v.0.4, some fixes applied to icons, mostly shorthened names on some tanks I discovered recently.

I know I am updating like a lot, but it's for now, there will be less releases once all the names are fine.

I noticed an error.  Panzer IV is shown as tier IV, when it is actually tier V.

Thanks for the mod.  I remember it from beta, and its nice to have again.

Object 704 is listed as tier X, when its tier IX.

Sorry for not noticing this earlier, but I'm only discovering these very minor errors as I climb up the tiers.

Again, great mod. :Smile_great:

Ram-II is marked as tier IV instead of tier V like it should be.  I didn't see it marked in the first post as having been fixed.
EDIT: M3 Stuart is incorrect tier too.
