I'm having a problem with the in-game display when I press ALT, I'm not getting the icons OR the vehicle name text, just the username and the health bar.

Have you done this:
2. Go to Menu > Settings > Game and Enable: Show Vehicle Icon
?

While the game's devs insists upon calling the m46 a Patton, it's not. The Patton is the M60, and I would therefore prefer that the M46 not be labeled Patton in the mod, I'd rather see it labeled one of these "M46" "SuperPershing" "M46 Pershing-II" or "Pershing-II"
Quote
The M46 was a medium tank that was designed in the United States. It was the first tank to be named after General George S. Patton, commander of the U.S. Third Army[2] during World War II and one of the earliest American advocates for the use of tanks in battle[3] The M46 Patton was an improved M26 Pershing tank and one of the U.S Army's principal medium gun tanks of the early Cold War, with models in service from 1949 to the mid 1950s. On 30 July 1948, the M46 was named the Patton, in honor of General George S. Patton Jr.[4] It was not widely used by U.S. Cold War allies, being exported only to Belgium, and only in small numbers to train crews on the upcoming M47. The M46 tank was designed to replace the M26 Pershing and M4 Sherman.

The 105 mm Gun Full Tracked Combat Tank, M60, also known unofficially as the M60 Patton,[2] is a first-generation main battle tank (MBT)[3] introduced in December 1960.[4]
There were also M47 and M48 Patton models.

I see not much intrest in changing Pattons name so lets give it up.
Experimental version of my icon mod v1.45 http://dl.dropbox.co..._Mod-v.1.45.zip well actually its more like Clean Icon Mod v1.44 + SmartMarkersMod v1.3.2
Whats new? I used SmartMarkersMod instead of mine flash file.
It is configured like this:
- perma hp bar without pressing ALT
- perma tank icon without pressing ALT
- dead tanks icons 20% transparency (100% with ALT), same goes for player names (still testing, may not work well).
- player names only with ALT pressed

May be I did something wrong but after I installed this version, when I kill someone there name(the person I killed) gets stuck to the top center of my screen. and as I kill more it gets worse till my screen is all whited out.
seems to happen anytime an enemy is killed.
By the way thanks for working on this mod it is great! I do like it a lot.

I have been told that there was my error in a config file, I changed one value from 0 to 1.
Try it now: http://dl.dropbox.co...od-v.1.45b1.zip
I made a couple of battles with it and no blur issue anymore so far.

Alternatively here is another version using totally different markers mod.
http://dl.dropbox.co...1.45b1(omm).zip
What it does?
- Big hp bars + hp numers inside with perma alt
- scrolling damage numers! (awesome)
Issues:
- tank icons color tinted and need some position tweaking
Unfortunately I cannot change anything on this markers, no config file.

I couldnt find a screenshot depicting this but:
Does your mod change the enemy highlight color from red to something else?
I have a hard time seeing enemy tank outlines (wireframe) through bushes because I'm colorblind, I'm looking for a mod that fixes this.
Thanks

Nope, the enemy is showing like usuall, means red. The color tilt mentioned in version notes is about showing Vehicle icon ("Vehicle Contour") in right colors, instead of reddish/greenish.
I also have that colorblind icon mod version, but it changes appearance of vehicle icon only.

Is there a way to change the wireframe color? I'd be very interested in finding out.

Would be interesting indeed, I just dont know how to do it
All colorblind mods I saw was using standard colors on tank outlines. Seems like there is a problem with that I belive.
