Group Stage Standings

Basic Tournament Information for Skirmish 20:

Please see tournament page for all information

  • Team Size: 3 combatants + 3 reserves
  • Map Pool: Murovanka
  • Mode: Encounter
  • Tier Point Limit: 20
  • Tier Limits:
    • This represents the max tier allowed. Teams are allowed to bring lower tiers.
    • Light: Tier 7
    • Medium: Tier 7
    • Heavy: Tier 7
    • TD: Tier 6
    • SPG: Tier 6

Skirmishes now have three days of group play (Monday-Wednesday) followed by a playoff (Friday-Sunday). Teams can choose to play only in the weekend playoff or participate in group play for better seeding and greater prizing.

After completing group play, a standings table will sort all teams across all groups based on points earned against points possible. Prizes are awarded at completion of group play to teams finishing in the top half of the standings. These teams qualify for the Alpha Playoff. All remaining teams qualify for the Bravo Playoff.

Alpha Playoff

  • This playoff consists of the top 50% of group play teams who will play for a larger prize pool. Group play performance will determine playoff seeding.

Bravo Playoff

  • This playoff consists of all remaining teams and includes teams registering solely for the weekend. These teams will compete for a smaller prize pool and the playoff brackets are not seeded.

Both the Alpha & Bravo Playoffs will use multiple brackets holding a maximum of 16 teams. This means multiple winners are awarded prizing for their standing in their respective bracket.

Teams and players may only register once for the skirmish.

If you don't like it then don't play in it, so simple.

Anything that makes you think hard about your choices helps to mix it up!!

Not sure actually. I took it as 1 of each tank type. In other words, T71, Hellcat, Comet or something. But now that I think about it, it actually might be only one of each so that might work. Confirmation from WG would be nice.

I actually like 3 vs 3 on this map and it sounds interesting.

Yes, an IS,  IS-2 and a hellcat would be fine. Two IS tanks with a hellcat, or an IS with two hellcats would break the rules.

We are limiting tank models, not tank types for this tournament. So, a team could bring a T-29, an IS and an M6 heavy and be completely legal.

As a comparison for how we word this, Skirmish 19 is limiting the tank types - the restrictions state no more than 2 light, heavy, medium, etc.

So when will the bravo group stages be held if it is the "weekend only tournament"? Or does the bravo just only have 16 teams?

The weekend only (bravo playoffs) portion has no group stage, only the playoff bracket. Each bracket is limited to 16 teams, but an unlimited number of teams can sign up and participate.

Looking for a team? Check here. Is this supposed to be a link? It's not working. Anyway, I have a T29. Hit me up for the entire tourney.

Yeah, same here. It's really hard to play trough out several days.

Bring back the blitz or something shorter!

You can always do the Bravo Tourny....

Break down of Approx. time needed.

Friday - ~30min

Sat. - ~ 30min

Sun. Early - ~30min

Sun. Late - ~30min

So the Bravo skirmishes take about the same amount of time as the Blitzes but pay out much better. So whats the issue?

??? lower requirements for number of players  = more teams

My guess is that we will have approx 200 teams in this one.

Wish my clan mates would log back in. I wouldn't mind trying this one at.  54-40 ran two 3x3 t3 teams and made a little gold.  ;)

Couple of questions...

Wouldn't just signing up for the Bravo bracket be better? Since you will only be playing against the bottom half of the teams and therefore have an easier time making gold. The only downside would be missing out on the group play gold, but it seems you would have a much better chance of making 5k.

Well, I didn't look it from that time perspective.

Nevertheless, the blitz had a key word in the name: daily. Is much simpler I think to dedicate 2h one day, that 1/2h four days. And more even if those 4 days are weekend. Anyway I can't do fridays so that leaves me out of every tourney as today
