Frantically running around the museum with a camera before everything goes, looking particularly at vehicles unlikely to be in WoT.

Great video! reminded me of the FV 183 from the looks of it. Rear mount turret and that can't rotate all the way with a massive gun.

I'm not certain what's more sad for me, the fact that this collection is getting split up, or the fact that I don't have the money to afford even the cheapest of these beauties

For anyone interested here's a link to the auction site. http://www.auctionsamerica.com/events/overview.cfm?SaleCode=LC14

Any chance of you doing a snapshot on the Landsverk IKV-73?

Sudden thought:

if the Pz IV get's the ausf H standard...

Why Pz III not get ausf M standard?

Did you not catch the part at 2:14 where he mentions the "360-degree-rotating turret"? But I agree, it does look somewhat like a baby FV 215b 183 with better gun elevation.

Very interesting video, just like the rest of them!

For those wondering why the collection is being auctioned the owner Jacques Littlefield died back in January of 2009 due to a decade long battle with colon cancer and man anyone that fights cancer that long is one tough bastard but then again with a hobby of restoring tanks its good way to keep your mind off something horrible like cancer.

Anyways the short version is that after with his passing his wife and family opted to give the collection to Collings Foundation so more people can see it because before Jacques passing the collection was only open to private tours via an invitation.

The opfor used to have these in the Desert Combat mod for BF42. I used to love using that and the SCUD on El Al to baserape.

The 2S1 has 360 turret rotation. The breech intrusion into the turret is actually quite minimal for most modern AFV's, as the recuperator/buffer systems have become quite sophisticated and efficient, when compared to WW2.

Dealt with some of the collection when it "visited" arizona.

When I heard it was being broken up I got quite drunk. Not what the man wanted from my understanding.

Lots of emotions about this. On one hand it's understandable that at some point it would be moved or broken up but still it's hard to hear of this. The good news for me is it's moving about an hour from me here in Mass.  Then again looking at the auction site I would say what is left to bring here to Mass?  They appear to be selling everything including significant amount of things like the WWII stock.

You'd think the vehicles would be spread out among the museums across the US. Either way it looks like a nice collection.

The Pz V Panther is not up for auction. I'll go to the Collings Foundation just to see that.

Someone want to explain how the Collings Foundation is saving this collection when it seems like they are auctioning most of it off???????  I would hope what they are auctioning is doubles of what they have because looking at the list there are some very nice pieces that would be a shame to split off.

Looking through the catalogue makes me sad that I lack the money and nice warm garage to get any of these vehicles. Any chance Wargaming will try to purchase some of these vehicles and maybe even complete their restoration?
