Group Stage Standings

Basic Tournament Information for Skirmish 22:

Please see tournament page for all information

  • Team Size: 6 combatants + 3 reserves
  • Map Pool: Steppes
  • Mode: Standard
  • Tier Point Limit: 46
  • Tier Limits:
    • This represents the max tier allowed. Teams are allowed to bring lower tiers.
    • Light: Tier 8
    • Medium: Tier 8
    • Heavy: Not allowed
    • TD: Not allowed
    • SPG: Not allowed
  • Special Restrictions: No more than 3 autoloader tanks allowed (medium + light tanks)

Skirmishes now have three days of group play (Monday-Wednesday) followed by a playoff (Friday-Sunday). Teams can choose to play only in the weekend playoff or participate in group play for better seeding and greater prizing.

After completing group play, a standings table will sort all teams across all groups based on points earned against points possible. Prizes are awarded at completion of group play to teams finishing in the top half of the standings. These teams qualify for the Alpha Playoff. All remaining teams qualify for the Bravo Playoff.

Alpha Playoff

  • This playoff consists of the top 50% of group play teams who will play for a larger prize pool. Group play performance will determine playoff seeding.

Bravo Playoff

  • This playoff consists of all remaining teams and includes teams registering solely for the weekend. These teams will compete for a smaller prize pool and the playoff brackets are not seeded.

Both the Alpha & Bravo Playoffs will use multiple brackets holding a maximum of 16 teams. This means multiple winners are awarded prizing for their standing in their respective bracket.

Teams and players may only register once for the skirmish.

Is the 59-16 considered an auto-loader?  Why not give the definitive list of auto-loaders?

I agree what constitutes an "auto-loader" can be modified based upon what guns are mounted on some of the tanks.  The 59-16 is a perfect example on which it could be an auto-loader or not depending on the mounted gun.....which would make it VERY hard for teams to police.

It is supposed to be a max of 9 players. The registration page has been updated, thanks for letting me know!

If either of the teams that are already in Pending Approval want to add another player because of the confusion, just let us know :)

Here's the simple answer: if it can mount an auto-loading gun, it is considered an autoloader.

Too bad this is not Encounter- now that would be running and gunning.

I am afraid this might turn into a camp fest - send a scout out and wait on the other team to attack.

Ótimo modo que foi apresentado vai ser um combate de superação.

I'm assuming it's Portuguese, since he's Brazilian.

Question: If a team is "pending approval" (which means it can't be edited) but you have to replace a player due to IRL issues, do you just send an e-mail or a message to get it done?

Have the captain send an email to tournaments@wargamingamerica.com with the following information:

  • Team name + link to team page
  • Player to be added + link to player page
  • Player to be removed + link to player page

We'll be able to help :)

 AMX-90 + AMX 90 + AMX90 + Pershing +Pershing + Cromwell

Don't use OBJ 416. It has little gun depression, and not very flexible over these hills. The camo advantage is not that much. Switch Cromwell with Chaffee if you want to. No real difference.

yea but the thing is obj 416 is already so low to the ground...it doesn't need gun depression

the 13 90 has worse gun depression than 416

so obj 416 is viable..there's a few snipe positions you can go to

No, you have to be flexible. Smart players can guess where you are. AMX90 doesn't need gun depression because it is an auto loader and a light tank. It accelerates much faster than OBJ.

If you want to use OBJ 416, be my guest. It has the same armor as AMX, not an auto load, slightly better alpha, slightly bigger than AMX90, a little less camo.

What it will come down would be the cohesiveness of the team, but AMX will give more tactical advantage. If you plan to rush, bring OBJ instead of Pershing may help the speed of the push. That is the only advantage OBJ provides.
