Group Stage Standings

 

Basic Tournament Information for Skirmish 24:

Please see tournament page for all information

 

  • Team Size: 3 combatants + 3 reserves
  • Map: Ruinberg
  • Mode: Encounter
  • Tier Point Limit: 15
  • Tier Limits:
    • This represents the max tier allowed. Teams are allowed to bring lower tiers. 
    • Light: Not Allowed
    • Medium: Tier 5
    • Heavy: Tier 5
    • TD: Tier 5
    • SPG: Tier 5
  • Special Restrictions: None

 

 

Skirmishes now have three days of group play (Monday-Wednesday) followed by a playoff (Friday-Sunday). Teams can choose to play only in the weekend playoff or participate in group play for better seeding and greater prizing.

 

After completing group play, a standings table will sort all teams across all groups based on points earned against points possible. Prizes are awarded at completion of group play to teams finishing in the top half of the standings. These teams qualify for the Alpha Playoff. All remaining teams qualify for the Bravo Playoff.

 

Alpha Playoff

  • This playoff consists of the top 50% of group play teams who will play for a larger prize pool. Group play performance will determine playoff seeding.

 

Bravo Playoff

  • This playoff consists of all remaining teams and includes teams registering solely for the weekend. These teams will compete for a smaller prize pool and the playoff brackets are not seeded.

 

Both the Alpha & Bravo Playoffs will use multiple brackets holding a maximum of 16 teams. This means multiple winners are awarded prizing for their standing in their respective bracket.

 

Teams and players may only register once for the skirmish.

What three tier 5 tanks would your team bring to this???

KV-1, T-49, Churchill I, M4 with derp???

I'm not an expert by a long shot, but I'd go with something tough to take the hits (like a Kv-220) and a couple good guns to do the killing from a few hundred meters behind the "tank" (French bathtub with the 105 fits, but I'd rather pick T49s for reliability and versatility)

my team will be bringing 3 french arty for the big splash radius and hard-hitting guns. Its a city map, so we can get up close and TD mode effectively

My team is full, but I have no submit team option. I am stuck in forming stage. Please help anyone.

Reminder to all teams: Today is the LAST day to apply for the Entire week registration for Skirmish 24!

 

Any teams that are in Forming or Formed status will be automatically declined when Registration closes tomorrow.

 

There are currently 130+ teams that are in Forming and have the minimum number of players...please be sure to Apply for Tournament if you wish to play for the entire week :smile:

Dance210, our Tournament leader has (rather carelessly) forgotten to submit the team for approval. We have had full intentions of participating in this tournament, and it appears that he is definitely offline right now. Is there any period of time in the morning tomorrow, or any way otherwise, that the team may be submitted for approval?

Edit: He got online at 1:00 A.M. and managed to submit the team. Turns out he was out of town; and got home very very late... otherwise we would have missed the cut-off time. I'll make sure to remind him the day before next time!

will wargaming be moving the south spawn closer to the cap before tomorrow?

Good to know I'm not the only one that has serious issues with the south spawns distance to cap. It may be okay for large teams (I doubt it but idk I don't play encounter) but for small teams it's a massive disability.

 

Last tournament I had my team get caught out in the field and ambushed when we were driving straight to the city. Ended up axing all slower tanks on our team to compensate. The fact that the enemy can get to your spawn before you can get to the city says a lot about the spawns.

Same with my Team we had 3  kv-1 1 kv-2 and a luch and promptly got stomped by a bulls/thugz team in 2 t49 2 ram2 and 1 m4 sherman .... the south spawn on the last challenge was a problem for us as well 

 

with that being said

 

 

Ace.Steel_wolves skirmish Team  wants to thank wargaming for the opportunity to participate in this tournament ... we learn from the teams about tactics and strats for the battles everytime we enter these ...

you are doing it wrong then... zouth zpawn bezt zpawn on ruinberg encounter.

Is the group round like what you guys did with the KV-2 tourney, cause I only see who we play and not the full brackets, can someone who knows answer this... THANKS!

Our first battle for the tourney is allowing us to bring t10's. Is anyone else experiencing this or is this a malfunction on our end

The rules state which tier(s) and tank model(s) are allowed. Whether they tier limit is set to 10 or to 5, captains are expected to obey the written rules. If you run across a team which decides to break the rules, then we have a dispute system in place.

 

I should be able to not set the restrictions and have teams follow the rules...but perhaps that is expected a bit much, yes?
