Arty UP, RT UP: Artillery is in position and ready to fire

Eyes On: Visual of a target. Usually used by artillery. IE: "Anyone have eyes on that heavy I lost at A2?"

Danger Close, DC:  Asking for artillery to fire as close to you as they can.  Typically used like "RT, fire DC on me. I'm bout to be swamped!"

Drilled:  Hit and killed or severely damaged by something much bigger than you. Example: "I just got drilled by a TD in the swamp, get out of there."

Tagged:  To spot the enemy.  Used by light tanks to describe finding enemy units.

Blind Shot:  A kill usually by artillery where they don't actually see the target.

LOF = Line of Fire (May want to pay attention to this one, lol)

@ = At, like NME E8 @ F4.

NME = Another common abbreviation for Enemy.

Cover = Something that will stop an incoming round

Concealment = Something (ie Bush) that will hide you, but will NOT stop enemy fire

Overwatch = A term that simply means someone is watching an area, can also mean they are setup to fire on any targets you light up, this would be overwatching you.

Hulldown = A condition in which the turret is all, or most of what is showing to the enemy above your cover. You want this.

Flank = Your left, right, or rear. Can refer to areas on the map or your own tank. Typically a bad place to have the enemy.

Use of the words Derp, Herp etc. are insulting to the mentally challenged. Please refrain from using such words. ~svcheats_0

It's hard to take this game seriously when it's policing made-up words.

What are those completely bullocks abbrevations? What has KIA to do with the game? And Loltraktor describing low-tier light tanks? From what times? What are you people smoking? This is topic where you post actual meanings of words, not come up with random stuff just to mislead people or to popularize your false meanings.

I was always under the impression that, "derp" meant a fail, or just a moment of stupidity? a screwup?
http://www.urbandict...e.php?term=derp
It really isn't an alternate word for, "retard" or the like. Just saying...

how about autocannons? Low-tier, small-caliber guns that fire fast but deal low damage. (eg, 2cm flak.)

There's no such thing as autocannons here. An automatical cannon (like fully automatical assault rifle) would mean that it could constantly pour out shots non-stop, much like the Churchill with 100% crew and gun rammer, just faster). There's only semi-automatical cannons, that's how you're supposed to call them, or as some people call it "burst cannons".

Actually, the 20 mm is an autocannon, just the game limits your bursts that you can fire.

Additional terms to add to your vocab:

Enfilading Fire:   Firing on a target or group of targets from their side or flank.

Defilade:  Equivolent to 'hull down' where the tank below the turret has hard cover.

Mission Kill - When your modules are all damaged, crew all wounded, and it's hard for you to drive, gun, or even see anything. Irl when a vehicle is attacked and not destroyed, but unable to continue it's mission.

SOS - Distress call, should be used with as much info as you can safely type. ex- SOS @ F5, T29

CB - Counter Battery

DD - Drunk Driver (Ok I made this one up for giggles)

SitRep - Situation Report. Someone is asking you what is happening around you. Keep it simple, for your safety and to keep chat uncluttered.

From what times someone asks for SitRep during a random battle? Ewgh... and I've never seen anyone say SOS either, there's the Help! button amongst the F1-F12 thing, can't remember which one thought, plus CTRL + LMB on minimap.

ROF means Rate of Fire, how fast you can shoot.
